Hmm, I seem to have quite a different opinion from others reporting here. These replaced a set of (well-regarded) Kumho KU31 tyres 6,000 miles ago and first impressions are good. Steering feels much more responsive, and when corners are tackled at mid-speeds and aggressiveness, the front end tracking now feels literally "on rails" with minimal slip, particularly in the dry. Wet grip and hydroplaning resistance appear average to me. Rolling resistance is noticeably lower - the car coasts appreciably further. The car is also easier to manually push around when I have to shuffle it in my small, flat, concrete parking area. On smooth roads, the tyres are quiet, but coarse surfaces are quite a different story and I would rate them below average noise-wise on these surfaces. I normally get around 16,000-24,000 miles of mixed driving from my tyres (front-to-backed once, mid-life) and I expect (from the wear at 6,000 miles) these to be worn by the lower end of that range. Another area where my opinion is different from most is in ride. I find the EP200's quite a bit harsher at town speeds than my (non-Eco) 3 previous sets of tyres, and interestingly, running them a little underinflated (or overinflated) doesn't change the harshness. I'm wondering if the stiffer low-rolling resistance sidewalls are deflecting less thereby supporting more of the car's weight, reducing the influence of tyre pressure, compared to a non-Eco tyre. One final note, these tyres have an outer and inner "side" (the sidewalls are different apparently), but are considered non-directional tread-wise.

It's the worst tyres I've ever used in my 25 years of driving.

Dry grip and braking is just adequate. ABS kicks in every time under moderately heavy braking indicating the tyres are losing grip.

In the wet, exercise extreme caution. The tyres break away very early in cornering and under braking.

What's worse than the appalling performance is it's only left with 3mm tread depth after just 14000miles (23000Km). My previous sets of Michelin and Continentals covered 50000km before needing replacement.

It's advertised as a eco/green tyre with low rolling resistance and fuel savings but I've experienced zero change in fuel consumption.

These tyres do not give much feedback and the steering just feels numb.

The only positive attributes I can give to these tyres is that it's relatively quiet and rides comfortably but nothing exceptional compared to my previous sets of Continentals and Michelin.

Stay away from these tyres if you value you life and those of your family.

This has been the best tyre I have had. I drive an average of 130km daily with speeds of 80-160km/h and I can't find any complaint. I have had a set for about 5 years and got just over 100 000km from these. I didn't lose them because of wear and tear but due to road damages on them. I can have these anytime.

(sorry for broken english - from southeast Asia) My first time using this Bridgestone Ecopia EP200 size 195/55/R15 and driving Nissan Almera Nismo and i replace the original tyre (Continental CC5 due to high cost for this tyre in my country). Overall, Continental CC5 is better performance but not in term of durability. With driving in tropical climatic country where sunny and rainy day whole year, I found this tyre can capable with this road condition. Dry Condition - tyre can brake smoothly and short breaking while emergency situation. Can drive with 130km/h to 180km/h in highway road without noise and bumping (thanks to Nissan absorber/spring too). Can take a corner with confidence in dry condition. Wet Condition - Usually drive with carefully by still can hit the throttle to 130km/h in stormy and heavy rain but in new condition. While the tyre condition is 60% or we call 'bunga tayar' already wear. It is easy to slight while hit the heavy wet road. But still can drive confidently. Overall - this tyre a recommend to not high performance car. I mean average car to buy fish and vegetable at market or bring your son to play ground or weekend driving at the beach. But it still can capable to be great tyre at high speed.

Was a good tyre, but need to replace them. And the replacement value is insane on this tyre. Yet a lower profile is half the price. Further more, the reviews are terrible, and i have pirelli at Heart. that is even cheaper than the lower profile (45's).

I had these Bridgestone Ecopia EP200 (195/65/R15) tyres fitted at the 100,000 km mark and my ODO now shows 162,000 km on the clock which means I have been using these tyres for over 62,000 km (38,500 miles). I am driving an automatic gearbox Toyota Corolla Altis, mainly in the city and on surrounding motorways (urban driving) with a fair share of country roads and highways as well. I would say that I drive in the city and on surrounding motorways 80 % of the time, however, the actual mileage of the tyres is actually made of 50 % city and 50 % country highways and roads.
I would say that my driving style is pretty "spirited" as I usually like to launch from standstill and red lights, doing redline accelerations and I sometimes have to brake pretty firmly...

So as far as wear is concerned, I m giving these tyres 100 % as even after over 60,000 km driven in a sporty manner, they are still not completely worn and even though I will be changing them sometime in the next 2-3,000 km, they could very easily last at least 10-15,000 km more.

Now as far as handling and grip are concerned it s another story. Dry grip imho is pretty good, I have never ever felt the car slipping or somehow escaping my control even when driving in curves at 180 kph and this, despite my all-time spirited driving style. So dry grip and handling is good. Wet grip is another story though, when the tyres were brand new wet grip was a-ok, it was not fabulous, but ok, but as the tyres were approaching their end of life, wet grip became worse and degraded more and more to the point that I am actually scared to drive on wet, slippery roads now, I dont feel safe.

As far as comfort is concerned these tyres are ok, pretty quiet but thats about it.

Would buy again? Probably not, I will be buying better, high-end tyres when I replace them.

These tyres with me for 3years, they still perform very well.
Useage: for travelling to work daily & weekend touring around
Road Condition: Highway(40%) , City(50%) & Country road (10%)
Driving Style: easy driving, usually travel at speed of 70-120km/h
My previous set of tyres are Turanza AR10.
The EP200 performs like Turanza AR10, plus
(1) lower rolling resistance, my car can roll further & accelerate easier
(2) Quiet & comfortable
(3) Use lesser fuel, in my case, fuel efficiency improved by 4%
I like EP200 very much.

I'd just bought these tyres for 1,000 km. For replacing the bridge AR10. At first drive, I feel the car are floating from the road, straight drive is very poor over 100 kmph. Cornering is more sharpen but more slippery if turn-in with fast speed. Wet road is acceptable but for dry is poor. Changing lane with fast speed is abysmal feeling. Fuel consumption is slightly better may due to low friction between road and tyres. Comfortable is OK while these tyres give a soft feeling and quieter sound than the decessor. I won't buy it again for sure. This tyre is for my grandmother or one who drive not exceed 100 kmph. and need to reserve fuel.

Just changed all 4 tires on my 2005 chevy 1.8 to ecopia 200... from 70% worn out Conti cc5 comfort a couple of days back. I must say that its a huge improvement in terms of "the feel" that you get from road handling and ride. Took a drive back hometown and back yesterday totalling 400km .. and it feels like a brand new car. Also am pleasantly surprised the cars fuel economy improves by at least 15% .. was quiet, responsive and so willing to go forward. Steering feels lighter due to less resistance I guess ..the previous set was like trying to fight against you when you want to turn ... highly recommended to any family sedans. Its no wonder Thailand is one of the top quality/ rubber producer and Bridgestone has a manufacturing plant there.

I've just installed an Ecopia EP200 today. Sorry to review it under EP150 because there's no EP200 options here yet. In my opinion, you get what you paid for. Even though it's a Bridgestone, it's a budget made in Thailand tyre, thus the performance is crappy. I switched from a pair of Hankook Evo V12 to this. Grip is not good in dry and even worse in wet. Severe understeer from these tyres. If you're a fuel concious person that drives like an 80 year old then it's good for you. Otherwise stay clear of this tyre.
