Given 54% while driving a Mercedes Benz 190 2.3 16 (235/35 R19) on mostly town for 8 easy going miles
Just had the first service on A250 at 12 months/ 8,500 km's to be told it needs new front tyres. Been happy with the grip and handing but not happy it they don't last for at least 40,000kms.

Mercedes Benz (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 3,000 easy going miles
Dry and wet grip in my car are very good but the feed back from the steering could be better. If you put the car in sport mode the steering is over sensitive.I don't drive the car on the limit so know idea how good the tyres are in that sinero. The tyres have been exchanged by the dealer / slight problem with profile / but again I feel should give satisfactory life for a performance tyre. The car is very comfortable but the road / tyre noise is far from satisfactory but these are ultra low tyres. The road surface may not help.I purchased the car for long distant touring and not disappointed with purchase.Question , would I purchase the same tyres again , no really sure only because of the noise.

Given 41% while driving a (245/35 R21 W) on mostly motorways for 10,000 average miles
This is now the second set of these I have had. If I am lucky, I can get 10,000 miles out of them. Now going over to Falken FK510's, as they are supposed to be better all round, including £40 a tyre less. These lack grip in the dry, and the traction control light is always on limiting the power, which means my 0-60mph is slower than it could be at 3.9 seconds.

Given 51% while driving a Ford Kuga (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 23,000 spirited miles
Expensive tyres, relatively noisy, not best on wet surface i imagine as it doesnt feel confident go round corners at relatively fast speed, aquaplaning is safe though. Not bad overall but would rather try something else next.
Front tyres worn out almost completely at 23 000 which could be alright for some, but...

Given 74% while driving a Audi S3 (235/35 R19) on a combination of roads for 15,000 average miles
These tyres came on the car when purchased. These were the Audi specific AO model. Dry and wet grip were very good, with good feedback and handling. The rim protector was the best I have seen on any tyre. The major drawback of this tyre for me is the road noise and for this reason I would not purchase these again. They were the worst tyres I have had in winter, just slid everywhere. However, I was happy enough with the mileage for the type of car. Going to try Michelin Pilot Sport 4S next time.

Given 76% while driving a Audi A3 2.0 TDI 140 (225/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 12,000 spirited miles
Upgraded from my potenza s001 (which I loved). I rotate my tyres every season for even wear so they tend to get to the wear line at similar times.

Commuting across a-roads in the chilterns mainly with a weekly trip on the motorway and a long stint to the west country every 4 months or so - handled well across it all. Never once had to worry about losing grip when driving to road conditions. Handled the beast from the east ok - had one dodgy hill which a combination of my exceptional driving (thank you) and the tyres meant we made it up and home no worries.

Brakes when I want them to, no wheel spin ever and look good. Road noise is a bit of a meh (but I got a a3 diesel) but tbh my radio is up so much I never really notice it much anyway.

I've slapped on 12000 miles or so and I've probably got another 3000 miles before I wave them goodbye. Worth a punt but alittle pricey. Deciding whether to go for the new 6's or try either a newer brand or some michelins.

Given 80% while driving a BMW 320i Msport (255/35 R19 W) on a combination of roads for 5,000 average miles
I have tried all premium brands and Continental and Goodyear are my favourites. I've used the older Sport Contact 2 and 3 and loved them. Unfortunately I didn't have these 5P on my car for long as I ended up changing the wheels but for the few months they were on there they didn't disappoint. Definitely one of the best tyres I've used for grip. I had Sport Contact 6 on the other axle and they were also great. I like to try new tyres but will always buy Continental too.

Mercedes Benz (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,757 average miles
These tyres are shocking for wear less than 3k so over a year of mileage not exceeding 12k I'll be looking at £1800.
Road noise is load.
Grip in dry conditions is reasonably good though in the wet it's a battle at times.
Would I recommend these tyres ? No.

Given 81% while driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI MK7 (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 8,000 average miles
This tyre is excellent both in the dry and wet. However, it wears very quickly and having only done 8k miles this year a need a new front set.

Given 56% while driving a SEAT Leon Cupra 280 (235/35 R19 W) on a combination of roads for 8,000 average miles
A real disappointment. Noisy, easy to spin in the dry. Abysmal when there's a hint of moisture. Lateral grip in particular, during wet conditions, is poor. The car may not help, but I've heard that other brands do reduce spin in the wet. I won't buy again.

Given 59% while driving a SEAT Leon Cupra (235/35 R19 W) on mostly country roads for 2,000 spirited miles
My new car came out fitted with these tyres. It is an AWD 300bhp Cupra ST. I have to say that these tyres are a total miss for someone who loves spirited driving in such car. Overall it is a decent tyre but certainly not for a person who likes driving on the edge and test the limits of a car. They have good amounts of grip on dry tarmac on one hand but on the other hand they are very hard to feel whether they are on the edge of grip or not. Progressiveness is poor so they are not very predictable, especially on the edge. Braking both on dry and wet is very good. Launching on wet is good but cornering is not that brilliant. I can do about same speed through corners with my other FWD car + Quaife LSD on non UHP tyres so these tyres don't impress me at all on wet. The front of the car is very likely to understeer with these tyres. I wouldn't buy these tyres again. I am going to change these tyres for something more predictable and reliable in the wet, hoping to have better front-end grip and my back to step-up especially in the wet.

Given 47% while driving a Skoda Octavia (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 7,000 average miles
Car is 15month old Octavia SE L 1.4 Tsi petrol, previous car was identical except for tyres.
First time used Continental, always thought they were the best, but this EcoContact tyre is the worst I've experienced in 50years of driving across old bangers to racy Subarus..
Grip poor in wet, car wants to skate, any road surface wear on a wet day, I'm not happy driving.
I have no confidence in this tyre so looking to change.
