Having run a set of four on a Ford Fusion (a tall Fiesta) I have been impressed. One of the few all-season tyres that have earned themselves the snowflake/peaked mountain symbol normally reserved for dedicated winter tyres.

Handling wise, I remember the car feeling a tad spongier in dry warm weather over the previous summer tyres when first fitted, but this is no bad thing as it has also calmed the overly firm and fidgety ride.

They have worn exceptionally well considering occasional spirited driving, at 40,000 miles both front tyres have got close to the limit. The rears are fine so in hindsight I should have rotated them earlier and perhaps got 60,000/three winters although they are probably well past their best at 4mm tread remaining.

Over two winters they have proved themselves when unexpected snow has turned a 50 minute commute into a six hour slog. Leaving the clogged motorway, they allowed my wife to drive on untreated country roads and pass many unfortunate souls in their summer tyre'd 4x4s on the hills! This alone cheered her up no end after spending all afternoon/evening stuck in traffic. Many others spent a cold night parked on the motorway whilst she got home at midnight. We live on a 1 in 8 hill and they have not been stopped from reaching the house yet.

During some 'soft-roading' on an unmade access road, they were pretty much unstoppable until encountering some clear ice, resulting in sliding backwards into a hedge. After fitting some cheap Lidl snowchains, the car turned into an unstoppable monster, freeing itself and then parking in deep snow over mud whilst several 4x4's guided themselves downhill by using a bank. (not very successfully as the hedge will attest) Once they were out of the way we continued (up!) without a struggle and took the long way back to have some fun.

One thing to note, the front nearside has been the first to go as expected, once down to the tread wear indicators the shoulders scrubbed off in a matter of days, and quite unexpectedly I found the threads/carcass just peeping through on the inside edge, so don't run them too close to the limit. The result was a 150 mile trip at 50mph on the space saver. Oops. Possibly wheel alignment related seeing as it went so fast.

Two new tyres ordered, and as always, new tyres on the back obviously to keep the tail in check, rotating part worn rears to the front :)

Fitted to my X-type estate and have been very nice to drive on generally as well as good in the snow. They have lasted amazingly well

Given 93% while driving a Saab Automobile 9 3 Vector 2.2TiD (225/45 R17 V) on mostly motorways for 500 average miles
There are very few choices for All Season Tyres at 225/45/17 profile, so went for the Quadraxer's based on reviews and others. I have them fitted to my SAAB 9-3 as a good all rounder, with the peace of mind that I am not going to get stuck in any snow fall.

So far, they have been astonishing in the rain and no issues with surface water, feels like you are still driving on a dry road. Looking forward to driving them on snow. Comfortable tyre and handles well for normal usage, as you would expect and should achieve a good high mileage.

Highly recommended for 17" rims.

Given 93% while driving a Ford Fiesta (175/65 R14) on mostly town for 167,000 easy going miles
Fiesta 1.4Tdci. My local tyre fitter is having problems with the supply of Vredestein (I've put my last pair of half-worn Snowtrak on the back wheels) and so he recommended Quadraxer saying that he and others had used them in snow the previous winter and found them to be 'brilliant'. I live on a hill in Ramsbottom.In the heavy snow of a couple of days ago, I turned into the street to find a group of my neighbours pushing a small hatchback up the street, with its wheels spinning on the compacted snow. I got out, helped them push for a few yards, got back into mine and drove up behind them. I couldn't see the problem! The grip on snow and ice is indeed comparable to the Vredestein Snowtrak 3. As other reviewers have said, theses are not a performance tyre and I wouldn't like to go screaming around at high speeds on them, but on my little diesel I would happily use them all year round.

Very very good in the snow, both deep and slush. Fitted to a 306 gti to replace toyo proxes T1r's for the winter.

This is going to sound just like the previous review - a long snowy incline with cars at funny angles, waited a bit watching a Volvo 4x4 coming down with everything spinning or locked up and going sideways, then cruised up to the top and down the other side with no problem. The tyres have been on 15 months and 25,000 miles and are still going strong. Anyone who wants to make it to work really should get them. I reckon unless other vehicles get in the way I can go almost anywhere.(If I can't I've got chains in the boot).

Had a fun time with my all season Kleber Quadraxers. It's the first time they have been used in extremis.
There is a hill just outside of where I live that climbs into the countryside to a place called King's Seat that is notorious for snow. It had three cars stuck along it's length trying to get up the hill, and a further car at the top who seemed reluctant to come down. After checking to see if they were going to make a move I made my way up smoothly without fuss to the top. It was so easy I was actually laughing when I got there. I loved the expression on the face of the driver who was thinking of going down.
I travelled a few miles on unploughed roads to get the feel of the car, and came to the conclusion that driving with these tyres on in these conditions was simply incredible, and to think that they have been on the car for two years in all conditions.
I then had to descend a hill to go back into town, where it was mayhem with cars stuck or slipping everywhere. Keeping the car on the brakes going downhill on a steep icy road, Townhill Road, was no problem either. Stopped when I wanted to and no reaction from the ABS. I eventually turned off onto quieter roads that were snow filled to make my way back by the side roads as I would still be in a queue if I didn't.
All in all, brilliant tyres that do everything better than the OEM Pirelli Powergy P6000s the car came with. I will be buying these again.

Given 89% while driving a Peugeot 406 HDi (205/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 1,000 spirited miles
I have a pair of these on the front of my 2003 406 HDi 110. I will shortly be buying another pair to make a full set.

These are an 'all season' tyre but also have the 'mountain and snowflake'logo on them. They don't look particularly pretty, but are fantastic tyres for our UK climate. In the recent snow flurries they have helped me get to places where some 4x4 with normal 'summer' tyres have not been able to get to.

They are not however a 'performance' tyre. But if you drive briskly but sensibly they are a fantastic all rounder. Incredible grip in the wet, and even better on icy, slushy, or snowy conditions.

I will be sticking with these for the forseeable future as they are great value for money.

Taxi driver with a full year's problem free driving on these tyres. Summer holding a bit spongy in the hot dry weather. Not a performance car type tyre so you would really not want to race with them. As general purpose tyre they performed exactly as you need them to. Safe, reliable, excellent in fresh snow, drivable in ice with due care. In the wet, never found them to aquaplane at all even in torrential rain, they just grab the road and push through the water. A full year driving with about 30,000 miles and still 3-4mm tread all round, currently replacing front 2 due to screw damage and to improved road holding with more tread during the current cold snap.

Had front Pirelli P6000's on and when they had 3mm left I swapped to these Quadraxers. Car is a Saab 9-3 TiD 150. Also have had Continental Sport Contacts, which in snow are so useless as to be horrific.

So bought some Quadraxers. Cheap, easy to get delivered.. and worth a risk right?

Very very progressive. Bit like playing Gran Turismo.. they let go very gently and come straight back into line when the power back's off. ... there's no real feedback. But the car's not very communicative anyway. In the dry, it drifts wider on fast roundabout exits than on summer tyres. Not much but a bit. Just adjust your driving. Like you do for any situation.

Astonishingly good in the rain.. the heavier the rain the happier they are! Deep, running water across dual carriageways is not even noticed. And in SNOW they made me smile. Got to work, swapped with a colleague who has same car and summer tyres.. and his eyes popped out of his head when he drove mine. Lots of grip. Very good indeed. And they're not really winter tyres.. they're multipurpose

Very good in muddy lanes. So good as to make a driver smile.

Will i buy again? Damn right. Soon as these 2 are half worn they're going on the back and I'm having another 2 of these for the front. It's really nice knowing that my car is fine in snow/rain/mud and muck. I can manage with fractionally less summer grip when they're so good in English weather!

A bit wandering on dry motorways. Not scary.. but not as direct as Continental of Pirelli's best. Bust as soon as it rains, the confidence levels stay the same.. they don't drop.

Given 51% while driving a BMW E39 5 series (225/55 R16 H) on a combination of roads for 500 average miles
Just had these fitted to my E39 BMW 530i and completed a 500 mile round trip. Had the wheels aligned / tracked / balanced at the time.

The 500 mile round trip was a mixture of residential, rural, and highway.

Frankly, I consider these tyres dangerous. They are dim-witted, sludgy, unresponsive, and let go at the drop of a hat. I've driven this car on Goodyear Vector 4Seasons which, to be honest, aren't that much more expensive than these.

Hit a puddle or small patch of standing water, and the wheel(s) that hit it loose all traction. Go round anything more than a very slight curve and do more to the throttle than feather it and boom, you're off.

I was literally drifting around certain A roads that I'm used to travelling on at nearly twice the speed when wearing Goodyear Vector 4Seasons.

Plus points? Quiet and comfortable.

Just remember than when you're rolling down the cliff because you took a corner at more then 7 MPH.

Given 78% while driving a Volkswagen (205/55 R16) on mostly country roads for 200 average miles
First time to try winter tyres up here in NE Scotland and dealer suggested these all-season tyres based on my needs not big mileage driver and not living too rural. Apparently local emergency services have had them on their vehicles for last few years. First impressions are how much quieter than summer tyres from Pirelli and Goodyear both with 4mm remaining. Ride also feels softer and plusher !. Grip in dry seems a hint softer but other reports say they need to bed in before seeing totally stable. Mpg on usual routes seems to be much the same as summer tyres. Will report back after winter frost, ice, sleet and snow that we love up here in the NE , as that is the test we need
