For what it's worth, my 300zx TT has 245/45 Nexen N3000's all round and the bottom line is that the rear in the wet is just "not funny" dangerous. So, if you have a performance RWD car, either don't drive in the wet or drive like an OAP. In my case, the latter. Great price however, just the grip is always on my mind.

The front tyres need replacing and so will probably move the rear's to the front and go for quality rear tyres. Originally it had Bridgestone Potenza's on it, and they worked an absolute treat. Would prefer peace of mind over the budget in this case.

Can’t complain too much about these tyres, they are cheap and they last a lifetime, which I’m not sure is always a good thing! I feel perhaps the compound is a little too hard which equates to lower grip levels when cold. The grip is by no means shocking, but is lacking compared to a higher budget tyre.

Given 51% while driving a Vauxhall Vectra SRI 1.9 (150) (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 7,000 average miles
Had these tyres fitted by Vauxhall Dealer in August 2010 on front wheels. Grip has generally been good, however tread wears extremely quickly. It's now January 2011 and after only 7000 miles they're down to 2mm of tread, and wet and snow performance is as you would expect now dreadful. In comparison, a new Uniroyal Rainsport 2 was fitted to the rear, and over the same mileage has lost just 1mm in tread. Ok rear tyres are under less stress on a FWD car, but the difference is incredible.

In summary, whilst the tread is good, they perform well, but the wear rate is rudiculous.

I've had 2 full sets of these, they are hard wearing and seem to take everything without any bad effects. They certainly suite this type of car.

Very cheap tyres recommended by my local tyre dealer - I was suspicious! However, I found them to be very quiet and they performed well in all weather (NB we don't get any snow around here). I know it's trite, but I like the look of them too!

These tyres were great to start off with but the wear is shocking. After 10,000 miles there was a massive difference in wet driving - back end slipping on light acceleration off roundabouts and corners. As they were ?100 less per tyre than some premium ones it would seem a good buy even for reduced milage but I say avoid and go mid range - looking at Falken FK452 for the next ones judging on others review.

Excellent tyre. Quieter than the previous Continentals I had fitted and half the price. It's a no brainer for me when it comes to replacing them again.

This is my third set of Nexen 3000's, so you can see how highly I think of them, I wanted some tyres that looked good and handled well without breaking the bank and the Nexen 3000 scores highly in these requirements and owning a Volvo S60 T5 I often like to give the car a good workout, so whether it be fast motorway miles or quick jaunts around country lanes, these tyres have never let me down and I wil continue to use them

Im ashamed to have had these on the Type R but they seemed good value at the time and they reminded me of Goodyear Eagle F1 as the tread pattern is very similar.

Dry grip is ok as with any tyre, but wet grip these tyres are terrible. I thought the V tread would channel water well but they dont. They are not progressive at all and let go without a hint. I found these tyres to be ok in comfort levels but they did not wear well 15k and down to 1.6mm.

I think these tyres are cheap for low speed town use and thats it not for a hot hatch.

i bought first the rear tyres for my supra TT(BPU++) just to test them because they were extremely cheap..i got them 1/3 of the prize of pirellis i had before..all i have to say is that they have outstanding grip for the prize and hold on for lots of miles..i drive my car every day and pirellis used to spin up to 130 km while nexens spin some times up to 40km depending on the road..great great tyre..at the begining i was ashamed for puting unknown brand tyres on my cars but since ive tested them i dont regret it..as for the 70mpg guy who said it droped fuel economy...its logical if your previous tyres had half the weight since they were barely legal

I bought a full set of these to replace the original Continental P.C. I can't fault them for the money Cost me ?60 all in per tyre. Dry grip is outstanding, even better the the Conti's, I feel much more confident to throw the car round tight corners and have done with no loss of grip. The conti's did slip out very slightly, but the tred was almost at the legal limit. Ride comfort is much better than the conti's, all the pot holes in the road are much softer and it seems to glide most of them. The noise is way better then contis as well. On concrete motorways the continentals would make a huge noise, but with these N3000 it's difficult to tell just from the noise if your on tarmac or concrete. Going over the seven trent bridge on the M62 towards Hull, hitting the metal joins in the tarmac with the continentals sounded like smashing 2 huge steel bars together, at the same speed (90 ish mph)with the N3000 it was just a quite thud, much better. Only has 1 wet day so far but they seem to handle just fine. For the money at ?60 fully fitted per tyre, instead of the ?120 per tyre for the conti's you cant go wrong and they look amazing. I was initially worried that my car would shred them, (Volvo S60 2.5 T) as I do like to keep testing my 0-silly speeds time, but so far not even a hint of a hic-up and they look amazing. These have made driving a pleasure again.
