I've had Goodyear F1s XL on the front of the car for the last 22K and they have finally worn to

Blew the old Bridgestone's out of the water. Comfort, Grip, steering. Transformed the car completely. Now have the asymmetric 2 on, another step forward. Decent wear too for a high end tyre, two years from the rears (approx 16,000 miles) after having to put up with lots of torque

Replaced the original Pirellis with Goddyears and wear, grip are both much better. Pity I cannot get the same tyre for the front now

Given 83% while driving a Audi A7 3.0TDi Auto (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,300 average miles
OEM on my Audi A7 - better noise level than Pirelli P Zero. Low noise on smooth tarmac. Quite a supple ride but wondered if there was a tyre out there with even less road noise on rough/stone chippy surface type tarmac.

So after reading about Nokian's quiet tyre reputatin I tried a set of Nokian Z G2 in the hope for an even quieter ride but these turned out to be noisier especially on smooth tarmac, which was quite surprising. Also ride was much firmer, probally due to harder sidewalls.

So changed back to F1s. Much better. They had only done 2300 miles anyway.

Hope this helps

Having opted for the 20 inch rims I noticed that after only 13000 miles the front tyres were completely worn. I have replaced them with Pirelli P Zero and having done only another 2000 miles the jury is still out on these very expensive replacements. The rear tyres are still probably only 25% worn which is what I would expect. Surely a set of tryes should last longer than 12k miles especially since the car is driven modestly on normal roads.

Fantastic grip in all conditions. You can push these tyres round any corner and they just keep gripping. Only down side is poor ride quality, very firm and 'jiggly' on country roads (ok around town and on the motorway), but I guess this is the case with all low profile tyres compared to normal tyres.

Given 70% while driving a Audi A6 2.5 TDI Quattro (235/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 12,000 average miles
The grip from these tyres was as most reviewers had stated nothing short of brilliant, even in the snow lasy year.
However, they just do not suit this car at all. From new they were fine, but after about 1000 miles they started to become twitchy. As they have worn further they have become very vague and do not track well at all, following every trough in the road. This makes for a tiring drive having to constantly correct the steering. Wear is also not great, only about 2.5mm remaining after just 12,000 miles.
I had high hopes for these tyres but regrettably would not buy them again for this car.

Great tyre, long wear - superb grip in the dry and the wet, better on the road than a track day but all the same good enough for me. Better than the P Zero's the car came with as an OEM fitment. And cheaper, not by much but two tanks of fuel!

Fitted 245/35/18s to the rear of my beloved S2000.

Love these tyres, acres of grip in thr dry and in the wet. I only whished they lasted a bit longer. That said I dont hang around when driving. Definately would recomend and definately would buy again.

My car is not really designed for comfort being a two seater roadster, so I am unable to comment.

I always remember having the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3, I loved this tyre. However the Assymmetric version is better in terms of stronger tyre wall, so the car feels more stable on the road in the corners. The grip however in the wet is better but in the wet, I think the GSD3 is on equal par, its just that the GSD3 tread was more tailored as a summer tyre. The road noise was the same as the GSD3. Again its a shame that the tread pattern is less attractive, but for the perspective of becoming a tyre to last the driver throughout the course of the year its definitely the more practical choice. Especially as the UK climate is changing and our winter weathers have the risk of snow. The tread pattern on the Assymmetric is better as a winter and snow type so another plus.

As for cost, it did not last me long, but I enjoyed every drive and turn. I will look forward to getting the Goodyear Eagle Assymmetric 2 at some point as this is mean't to be a different compund which does last longer, and I think in this economy we might look or that value for money for out Car shoes to last just a little bit longer.

Again good attempt Goodyear, the tread appeal has gone, but they perform well. When I get the Assymmentric 2's, I will post up my point of view.

I would recommend to just go for the Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 2 as this is a better version of the ones I bought.
