Tyres seem good in the dry, but are pretty poor in the wet, especially from take-off.

Noise is the most alarming thing.... compared to my pirelli p7's previous, these are terrible. They really do rumble down the motorway and at 60mph + speeds.

I've noticed with the weather getting colder ( less than 5'c) these tyres compared to the p7's slip and loose traction far sooner. Not tried them in the snow yet, and that was the weakness of the P7's.

Would I buy again? Probably not.

235/40/18 fitted to 2010 Ford Mondeo. Replaced original Continental Sport Contact 2s with Goodyear Efficientgrips and there is no noticable degradation of grip, ride or quality. They are however £30-40 a corner cheaper than Contintentals so they get my vote.

Seem slightly quieter too but that might just be because the old tyres were worn! Perhaps slightly more cushioned ride than the Contis but I can't decide if that's me imagining it or not.

Very good tyre with bags of grip.

Bought on the basis of reviews. Extremely disappointed. May be OK on a smaller vehicle (?) but not suited to my larger saloon. Made no difference whatsoever to my fuel consumption, despite the claims. Noisy, uncomfortable, and lack of confidence in the grip in all weather conditions and seasons despite my steady driving. Have just replaced with a set of Nokian WR A3 for which are just infinitley better.

I bought the car second hand with those tyres on the front and Dunlop Sport Maxx TT on the rear. There's a big difference between those two.
EfficientGrip make car boring and unpredictable to drive, but the mileage is good. There's not much road feedback and the traction control kicks in every time I accelerate (scary on wet). Perhaps those tyres are not suitable for a performance car and would be more suitable for a family hatchback driven at 30mph around the town?
They are also very very noisy.

I've had a full set of these for two years on my Rover 75 2.0CDT SE Tourer Auto and have been satisfied with them in all respects. I drive in NE Scotland so not many roundabouts or motorways, but have still been great on long trips south acheiving 22,000 miles to date, but need replacing before the snow sets in. Tow a trailer and caravan at times and often have heavy tool boxes in the boot and the wear is fairly uniform. I like the chine on the side wall that protects the alloys from knocks. Bit expensive.

If you like your tyres to give you confidence and the grip when when you need it, or you just like getting your foot in, avoid these tyres. They are rubbish.
I have got then on the front of my VW Polo GT Pd130 with a remap and I am looking forward to getting them off as soon as I can.

Bought two of these for my saab 93 at £108 each, replacing Goodyear Excellence on the front. Instant improvement in noise and comfort and far less tram lining. I tend to drive fairly normally, so can't comment what they are like for grip if you like to be first away from lights, but for my style of driving they seem a good match. Average mph seems to have gone up slightly by about 5mpg. Hopefully they should do more than the 18k their predecessors covered.

Fitted these to a 2000 POlo TDi. Makes the car feel like a small Mercedes, wafts over bumps and it generally very comfortable. Sadly the handling suffers very badly - if you like a sporty drive then do not buy these tyres. It's like driving a big jelly!

But if you like a bit of comfort, then these are perfect.

I agree with a lot of the other comments here. Grip for accelerating and braking is generally good in wet and dry plus low road noise. I just replaced a set of bridgestone tyres and the car immediately felt different. There isnt much feedback from the tyres and I've found it lead to sudden oversteer when cornering agressivly. Definitely not the tyre for a sporty driver, perfect for lots of motorway miles.

Have recently removed my Continental Sports contact2 tyres and replaced with Goodyear efficient grip on the front and Goodyear NCT5 on the rear. Would have liked NCT5s all round but difficult to get any now.
The car is totally different - very quiet on road noise but sports grip gone. Not a problem for me but may be for the sporty driver!! Pleased with fuel consumption so far

i got a set of these tyres with 5-6mm tread left. they were fitted to a mk4 vw golf gti and ive had the car lowered on coilover suspension.
the tyres didnt combine with the uprated suspenion at all. these tyres have soft sidewalls and are not made for 'sporty' driving. the car felt like it was on jelly. these tyres are made for comfortable motorway driving, and decent fuel economy i would imagine.
so for me i wouldnt buy these tyres again, as thats not the sort of driving i do. by reading reviews on this website i saw that toyo t1r tyres seemed more suited to the sort of driving i do, and having fitted them i would recommend the toyos for a more sporty drive over these any day, the car reacts a lot quicker now with the toyos on.

I've had to endure 2 sets of these tyres now on the front of a Vauxhall Zafira - Don't get the choice of tyres as it's a LEX fleet vehicle. No grip in wet, just wheelspin everytime I pulled off. Lasted 13K miles per pair when a pair of Pirelli P zeros lasted me in excess of 20K miles so hardly a high mileage tyre. Very little driving feedback, vibration at steering wheel which couldn't be balanced out.

As fitted to police fleets.... No wonder they never catch any criminals!!

AVOID
