Given 59% while driving a MINI Cooper S Works (205/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 20,000 spirited miles
I had 2005MY R53 CooperS with around 200HP (open diff). Firstly I put Dunlop Sport Maxx on the car. The tires did not grip anything, no dry or wet grip. Simply nothing. The steering response was mushy. The tire was progressive though, predictible at limits. I hated them after 1000miles or so. Then switched to Pirelli Pzero Nero. When Pzero is cold it felt exactly same as the Dunlops. But when it is warm enough the dry traction was better than Dunlops. But still the tires were not giving laser sharp steering response that I was looking for. I belive this is due to the side walls being soft. Still lots of wheel spin, unexpected liftoff oversteers in the middle of the corner - managable though -, understeer in the long corners under half throttle...

Now I am driving a 2009MY JCW. The previous owner had the factory Dunlop ROF tires when I bought the car. It was the first time I drove with the ROFs so the first thing I noticed is the unbeliavably quick steering reponse. the tires were 2008MY, mostly worn and cracked. But the grip, steering response was far better than the Pzero's on my previous R53. I was completely shocked considering all the bad reviews I have been reading for the ROF tires for years. But the ride was unforgivingly harsh so I changed the tires to Pzero's again since it was quite cheap - making the same mistake twice. What I experienced on R53 came back to my R56JCW. Understeer, mushy steering wheel.
The credit I give to Pzeros is the soft ride, progresiveness at the limits and tire wear. What I look for in the tire are the ultimate grip, hard side walls (not ROF hard) to give sharp steering wheel response and high centering feel on the steering wheel. Next time I will be going for Bridgestone S001, RE002 or Michelin Pilot Super Sport.

Alfa Romeo Brera S 2.2 have these tyres as standard fitment. This is the fourth Alfa that I've had. When I bought my first Alfa in 2002 I was advised never to fit Pirelli tyres and I now know why. The marriage doesn't work. These tram-line terribly, they are one of the worst in the rain that I have experienced and they squirm under heavy breaking. In conclusion, I would never recommend these tyres to anyone.

Given 63% while driving a Ford Focus mk2 (215/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 6,000 spirited miles
My friend bought 2 new and drive them 1000 miles, and then sold me because he damaged his rims. He had two more but user maybe with 2000 miles. They were lime new too. I fitted tyres on focus mk2. Focus is very drivable car, handling is great. When i pur p zero nero on it, I was suprised. I tuought there are no better tares than p zero nero.. And they were very good at the summer, i pushed them to the limits very often. I thought they are very very safe and thats the reason why I crashed my car!!! After 5 or 6000 miles, I was getting home from trip and drive like I always drive, but.... One left corner and I wasn't on the road anymore!!
The problem with P Zero Nero is that you feel very very safe but after 2 months or 5-6000 miles you don't know that the tyres are not good anymore!!
At the all, they are good tyres but not for me and roads where I live (Bosnia), p zero nero loves good roads, and only GOOD ROADS!!

Given 53% while driving a Saab Automobile 9 3 se turbo 185 bhp (215/45 R17 W) on mostly country roads for 14,000 easy going miles
14,000 miles is not enough for tyres which cost £95.53 each on 8/3/2011 and have been generally worked quite lightly. Heavy driving could have killed them in 5,000?
Previous P7000s however did 26000. Pirelli PLEASE NOTE.

Given 83% while driving a Fiat 500 Abarth (195/75 R17) on a combination of roads for 30 spirited miles
Had these on my abarth 500ss 17k out of fronts and 30k on rears.great all round tyre only draw back is road noise and can be pricey but apart from that 5 star

I have always had these on my Brera 2.2 and although they could give more mileage (I like to drive my Alfas as they should be driven)I have never had a problem in the wet or dry. They give me confidence to push on when I want. Surprised at some of the poorer comments when fitted to other cars but maybe they just suit the Brera. Incidentally, they are also fitted to my Alfa 155 and give equal assurance.

Given 49% while driving a Mitsubishi Colt (205/45 R16 W) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
I have a 1.3 Colt, on coilovers, harder swaybars and chassis bracings. I replaced the Goodyear Eagle NCT5s that the car had from the factory, with the Neros. I thought the NCT5s where bad, but these are even worse. At the first ~1000km I was happy and the cornering and braking dry grip where better than the NCT5s. But after that the grip was just crap. I can almost never heat the tires to their function temperature, unless the ambient temperature is 30+ Celsius. You really can't trust these tyres when you want to have fast cornering. On the wet grip is lost suddenly. Definitely not reccomended for spirited drivers. Only average for every day use. I will never buy them again.

Given 91% while driving a SEAT Ibiza FR TDi (205/40 R17 W) on mostly town for 500 average miles
I have only just worn the tyres in but they make such a difference. in comparison to the budgets which were on the car when i bought it the car just seams to stick and balance so much better and the road noise is also twice as good. also with a lot of torque they continue to grip, i wouldn't hesitate on purchasing the tyres again and at a great price for a premium brand too!

Given 87% while driving a BMW 320i Msport (255/30 R19 W) on mostly motorways for 12,000 average miles
I mainly buy mid-range tyres due to cost but now and then snap up special offers on premium brand tyres. This is the most expensive tyre I have ever purchased but also it has been one of the best. I have had them for about a year and a half, covered around 12000 miles on them and they are only half worn. But this could be because I have done mainly motorway driving on them and havent abused them much. But when I do put my foot down they have always given me confidence. Apart from when it was icy then I did feel them slide at slow speed around 2 corners but I guess that is expected. I have a 2 litre car so I will stick to purchasing ultra high performance mid-range brands which I find are usually fine for me but if you are looking to get the Pzero Nero, do not hesitate, they have been good for me.

Given 44% while driving a Holden SS Commodore (245/35 R19) on a combination of roads for 12,000 spirited miles
In the dry, their performance is average at best but add a bit of rain and you'll struggle to keep up with a corolla on standard 15 inch tyres around corners. They are pathetic. My car is rear wheel drive with 400bhp and as a former racing driver, I drive my car pretty hard at speeds up to 150mph. In the wet, it's like driving on ice. Shame on Pirelli for producing such a product. Recommend to people who drive like nannies and want 50000 miles out of a set of tyres. If you like spirited driving, stay clear, there are many better tyres from "lesser" makes.

Given 84% while driving a Audi A8 (225/55 R17) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
These tyres are excellent. I have them on an Audi A8 4.2 Quattro. The grip is perfect on dry road as well as in the rain. If I compare to the Hankook I had before, they are much better. I do not understand some of the comments above. I recommend them for North American weather.

As others have commented, these tyres are fine in the dry but appalling in wet or damp conditions. It is almost like driving on ice at times. However I have found the break away to be fairly progressive and controllable, there's just no grip!
A real "Jeykll and Hyde" of a tyre that I would not recommend for UK conditions. There are much better tyres out there for the money. I can't wait for them to wear out!
