I'm driven 1,500km's so far at approx. 50% tread and I thoroughly enjoy them. Noise levels are surprisingly low unless you're travelling on a particularly course or smooth road and they're a firm tyre without being too obtrusive which is easy to live with as a daily drive.

On track: very predictable and well balanced. They load up nicely coming out of a corner and give an informative feedback letting you know when you're approaching their limit. Heavy braking and turn in is accurate and precise mostly but it can feel a little 'mushy' if they aren't at a happy PSI or temperature. If using ripple strips they'll sing quite loudly if you use too much of the corner.

On road: The compound does not enjoy cold morning temperatures (obviously) and has much more N.V.H. however you would not buy such a compound without expecting this. Wet weather grip is astonishingly good, tracking down the highway while it's raining cats and dogs at 140km/h feels incredibly stable and secure then I purposely tried doing a donut and I was cheering at how well they held on. Now, dry drip. While it's not enough to keep 612hp to the ground, it tries by skipping and fighting the road surface. Very sticky, comfortably sporty, not as sharp and precise like the track or like the CSC6/EF1A3/PS4S but not to worry.

I would highly recommend the NT05's for something that's drivable from home, to the track, to the drag strip then back home whilst being affordable with nice tread pattern and decent enough wear rate.

I've had these across two mag wheel sizes on my VE SS Holden Commodore and I must say that they are brilliant. The two BIGGEST problems with this tyre which is why most people switch from them is COST vs WEAR. They wear fairly quickly and cost a bucket load.

That said, these tyres 'in my opinion' of using various sizes over 5 years drive the same in the wet and the dry virtually. The 18's are slightly more grippy then the 19's I found in the wet but other then that DAMN BRILLIANT.

I just decided to try a different tyre and went cheap. Through on some Maximus M1's and they are HORRIBLE compared to the Bridgestone RE50's.

Round a round about, slide out from under me......... no warning, not predictable. Never EVER have I had that happen with a Bridgestone RE50.

Stick with whats great even if it costs a bucket load of money, it will save your life.

PS. Depending on the car and the setup, I would say if you have a V8 you could get anywhere from 1-3 years on average with these tyres depending on your driving style and tune etc.

I bought these frankly because I was broke and wanted to try a cheap tyre for once. I had been running Bridgestone RE50's on my Holden Commodore VE SS (V8). Bridgestones are so damn expensive and generally wear down fairly quickly on my car so I bought these thinking oh yeh they'll last longer and should be OK. I was more worried about road noise, I had read reviews it wasn't very good in the wet but figured given my cars 50/50 weight distribution, longer wheel base and stability control/lsd etc they would be OK. I was wrong. Went around a corner coming out of a round about rainy day..... bang read end slipped out from under me. Normally I can predict it even feel it being a V8....... nope. Slid like it was on ice.

Dont buy them. I dont know what I'm going to do with them yet. I've only had them on the car 2 days and I already worry about it's stopping capability. I have bigger brakes, but that wont help if tyres don't grip the road.

I'm used to Bridgestones, they just work. I never had to worry about grip even when they were completely BALD! My bridgestones were like slicks just before I changed them never had grip problems in the rain. But these with full tread couldn't hold a candle against completely bald RE50's.

Police shouldn't fine people based on tread levels, they should STOP manufacturers like this making tyres that are just so damn dangerous!

These things stick like s**t to a blanket. Saved me thousands in potential damage from wildlife.

The main downside is the wear and cost. Only got about 15,000kms out of em and now that they're down to about 1mm off the wear marker they have a hard time in wet or dry.

on the front, heaps of under steer, scary in the wet. black ice scary. on the back in the wet very entertaining, but frustrating if your in a hurry. lucky i had 2 tyres on the car and not a set of four

i have had these tyres on my high powerd v8 commodore and found them good in the dry, but they get loose there grip in the wet however not realy any diferent to maxxis mav1 i will buy agane for the rear only. they do suffer from balance problems at 110km.

When the tyre mechanic suggested I try these tyres saying that they were as good as any premium brand, I was sceptical. They were cheap though so I gave them a go and was very surprised by their performance. I have a lot of motor racing experience and my car is 5.7L, rear wheel drive with 400bhp+ and I drive very hard with speeds up to 250km/h at times. I really can't fault these tyres, in the dry their grip is excellent but I think they are even better in the wet, just amazing. Quite a few all wheel drive performance cars have been left behind in the wet and these tyres just inspire confidence to keep pushing harder. They are very predicable at the limit as well. The only bad point is that they get a bit noisy as they wear out and there durability is around average. Overall, the best value for money performance tyre on the market and I've tried a few.

In the dry, their performance is average at best but add a bit of rain and you'll struggle to keep up with a corolla on standard 15 inch tyres around corners. They are pathetic. My car is rear wheel drive with 400bhp and as a former racing driver, I drive my car pretty hard at speeds up to 150mph. In the wet, it's like driving on ice. Shame on Pirelli for producing such a product. Recommend to people who drive like nannies and want 50000 miles out of a set of tyres. If you like spirited driving, stay clear, there are many better tyres from "lesser" makes.

The Marangoni tyres saved me from a sideways drift accident with another vehicle on a slightly damp, multi-laned road. The Marangonis really assist tracking and correction if you can drop the power quick enough to allow the wheels to engage the road between gear shifts on this monster. That snaps it straight back into line. I must have missed the dude by no more than 5mm.

It is a 462hp V8 auto, and with the HD trans it fishtails during gear shifts under power. There is no tyre that can resist this motor, but the Marangoni Mythos are having a pretty good try.

Highly recommended tyre!

I run a RWD Street Car - a 462BHP V8 with Marangonis, and am quite happy with the Mythos tyres' ability to hold the road, especially in lateral situations like cornering and hard turning at speed.

There is no tyre known to humanity that can hold this baby on the ground if you want to make the rear wheels spin, but the Marangonis do a great job trying.

This tyre is quite a popular alternative to its Pirelli equivalent here in Australia for Street Commodores.

I've given the tyre a high Wet Rating because I always slow down a bit in the wet, and the braking ability of the Marangonis is without complaint as such. (462hp and wet city roads don't go very well together)
