Saab Automobile 9 3 se turbo 185 bhp Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 given 81% (225-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
I previously had Nokian Weatherproof fitted to my car. Now I have had the opportunity to drive on about 5cm if snow Nd compacted ice. The bridgestone can't quiet match the Nokian snow performance (they are not far off), but are far better in the wet. The feedback is also better in the dry as are the stopping distances. A good balanced all rounder, suited to Southern England.

Writing about the Nordexx NS9000 given 55% (235-35-19-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 spirited miles
I would usually go for a branded tyre, A or B rating in the wet but i was talked into these Nordex by a tyre dealer. Now for a normal everyday driver these tyres would be perfect but im a man who enjoys driving and i will never put these tyres on my car again. In the wet they are god awful and in the dry they squeal when turning.

Writing about the Hero Milanza HZ1 given 86% (205-55-16-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 80000 average miles
I have Hero Milanza tyres fitted all round on my 185bhp Saab turbo convertible and they are amazing. I've done over 30,000 miles on them and there is still plenty of wear left. They grip very well in both dry and wet conditions.

Writing about the Pirelli PZero Nero given 53% (215-45-17-W)
Driving on mostly country roads for 14000 easy going miles
14,000 miles is not enough for tyres which cost £95.53 each on 8/3/2011 and have been generally worked quite lightly. Heavy driving could have killed them in 5,000?
Previous P7000s however did 26000. Pirelli PLEASE NOTE.

Writing about the Avon ZZ3 given 97% (225-45-17-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 80000 spirited miles
I have had 3 full sets of ZZ3's on my 9-3 2.0 ltr turbo. Each set has lasted approximately 20-25,000 miles. I have driven them at all speeds and in all conditions. I highly recommend them. The wear on them is phenomenal. I drive sensibly most of the time, with the occasional let loose stretching of the gearbox!! I can tell you they are very good at 145mph! They are the best all round tyre I have come across. Value for money wise, at £76 a tyre delivered and £10 to fit, I havent found a better performing tyre for the money. I honestly believe that anyone who has had a negative experience with them, either cant drive or has a lead foot, or both. Buy with confidence. I get mine from camskill and have them fitted locally.

Driving on a combination of roads for 40000 average miles
good steering feel, reduced tramling compared to michelin pilots, long lasting.good resistance to aquaplaining.poor traction on wet/greasy town roads, tyres noisy on most surfaces, sidewalls still in good condition,15000 on front then 25000 on back still legal.Think i'll try a softer compound tyre next time maybe the uniroyal that you all like, just wondering if it would be noisy with the V tread.
