Compared to my previous premium summer tyres, the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 is incredibly quiet and has fantastic grip. I am driving a plug-in hybrid Audi A3, and it became basically silent in fully electric mode. I always had wheelspin when I accelerated a little harder, because of the instant torque of the electric motor. What fascinates me is that this happened with both Bridgestone and Vredestein summer tyres in warm, dry weather conditions. This is no longer the case with the ASC2. Almost time to switch back to my summer tyres. So, here’s my impression of my “mild climate winter” tyres. I used to drive on Continental WinterContact TS860 winter tyres, but last winters, I noticed that I almost never drive on snow. And in spring and fall, when temperatures jump up and down, I was sometimes driving on my winter tyres at temperatures around 20°C. So now, I followed your advice and chose All Season tyres for the winter season. I drove them for about 6.000 km now in temperatures between -2 and +16 °C, in the dry and in lots of rain.

In conclusion the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 performed better in dry braking, dry handling [km/h], subj. dry handling, wet braking, wet braking - concrete, wet handling [km/h], wet circle, straight aqua, snow handling [s], snow handling [km/h], snow circle, snow slalom, subj. noise, noise, rolling resistance and fuel consumption, while the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3 performed better in dry handling [s], wet handling [s], curved aquaplaning, snow braking, snow traction, ice braking, tyre weight, wear, value, price and abrasion.
