Given 93% while driving a Volkswagen EOS (235/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 100 average miles
Replaced tyres that were on car when i got it (sailun atrezzo) which always lit up traction control light when accelerating in wet. Avons grip well and feedback is good. Look great as well. Best price i could find was on as tyres website which links to national tyres to fit. I am very impressed so far

Given 80% while driving a Audi A4 Quattro 220 bhp TFSI (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 3,000 spirited miles
Too early to tell on wear rates but no visible wear after 2.5k miles. Massively better than the Goodyears that came off the car (A4 quattro). The admittedly worn Goodyears (circa 2.5mm tread remaining) would understeer badly when pushed in the dry and it would have been quicker to get out of the car and push it around roundabouts in the wet as the wet understeer was chronic.

Dry level grip levels are certainly more than I've so far been willing to test on public roads. Wet grip levels are as good as any tyre I've tried and a huge improvement over the Goodyear Eagles. Noise levels are much improved as well. Comfort seems fine, so guess the sidewalls aren't massively stiff but not so soft that turn-in is affected.

Given 91% while driving a BMW 330 Ci Sport (255/35 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
Have had a few different tyres on the 330Ci. Was tired of paying over the odds for tyres, so thought I would try Avon ZZ5s on recommendation from my tyre fitter. Cost was good, full set of new rubber on 18 inch wheels for less than £550.

Well. To begin with I was a little underwhelmed, and thought I'd made a mistake. The car was twitchy and nervous. However, after 300 miles, WOW. These tyres really are fantastic. Great grip in both dry and wet conditions.

I've pushed the car to the limit on wet roads, and the tyres really impressed me.

I use the car on the motorway, and these tyres are pretty quiet.

Would definitely buy again.

Given 86% while driving a BMW Z4 (255/35 R18 W) on mostly country roads for 13,000 spirited miles
Great grip in both dry and wet conditions. Car tested was 3 litre, rear wheel drive. After 13,000 miles, I still have 2mm on the rears, and 4/5mm on the fronts.

Can't fault the tyres for grip. My last tyres were Michelin Pilot Sport 2s. The ZZ5s were nearly as good in the wet, with no real difference in the dry.

Michelin's lasted a bit longer, but at nearly twice the price, I would expect them to

Given 63% while driving a SEAT Leon Cupra (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 4,000 spirited miles
Very average in the dry and woeful in the wet.

Clearly on a pretty powerful FF model car a lot is being asked of the front tyres therefore I didn't want to go for budget tyres and I didn't see the point of going for a premium brand as they were going to get lunched anyway therefore I went for a more mid range to low premium tyre and after several comparisons of brands I went for the Avon ZZ5s

The tyres are ok in the dry and do give decent feedback when the road gets twisty but if there is the slightest bit of moisture on the road the tyres just seem to give up and will slide even at very careful speeds.

I would suggest that these tyres are more suitable for motorway cruising rather than spirited B-road blasts which is a shame considering Avon's British motorsport heritage.

4000 miles on an Audi A6 driving mostly on motorways. Very poor value for money and would never buy again

My local tyre dealer said I wouldn't be disappointed as I wasn't! Excellent grip in dry and particularly wet conditions (the tyre disburses water excellently). Given the low profile tyres on my car these have been expectational soft and quiet.

Given 83% while driving a Audi A6 S line, LeMans 2.0 TDi 170 (255/35 R19 W) on a combination of roads for 18,000 spirited miles
Great alternative to the Pirelli rossos Audi have as standard, loads quieter and just as sure footed. Highly recommended.

Given 87% while driving a Audi A4 Avant 1.9tdi Sport (235/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 14,000 spirited miles
After changing from a very poor budget to a full set of ZZ5s the car has been transformed. Very little tyre noise (69db), loads of grip wet(B) and dry, the only worry, well not worry; concern then. With that much grip, how long will they last? The remap drives 180 bhp with 300 torques through the fronts only (non Quattro) however it does get the power down now without the strobe light effect on the traction control.
I'll keep you posted
Ps According to Avon/Cooper, all the ZZ5s are Made in England for those who like to buy British.

Given 96% while driving a Audi TT (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 13,500 spirited miles
AVON ZZ5 19 inch tires are phenominal! ive had the tires on now for nearly 14,000 miles of a spirited drive and theres still 2-3 mil of tread left on the front! great in the dry and feel almost as grippy in the wet! i drive an audi tt 3.2 quattro and always give the car a hard drive from time to time and the tires always grip whenever needed! a track day was done on these tires and the grip they give in both breaking, cornering and accelerating are on a par with the michelin pilots i have had before these 4 tires! road noise is very low, and the ride from them is nice and precise, yet a slight spongy feel to them for added comfort over bumps! a 9 1/2 out of ten!!! definately going to purchase these tires once my scrubbed tyres finally give up in id say another 4000-6000 miles of spirited driving! a cheaper option to the eagle f1 and michelin pilot! and not a NOTICABLE difference to the average driver!

Given 100% while driving a Audi TT (255/35 R18) on a combination of roads for 3,000 spirited miles
Absolutely delighted with the ZZ5. They give a surefooted drive and high grip with low noise and great straight line stability. Can't comment on the overall durability yet as my mileage is low - but they don't appear to be scrubbing. The rim protection is one of the best I've had on a tyre. My past favourite was the Good year F1 GSD3 and the Avon ZZ5 is even better then they used to be.

I have used Avon ZZ3's. On my last 2 cars and as far as directional stability, road noise and grip on dry and wet roads is very good, now moved to ZZ5 on my current car and the same applies, have been getting 20,000 miles per pair on a two wheel drive car.
