Bought two new front Dx640's tyres for Lexus 400h. Was persuaded into buying them due to good reviews on road noise and wet grip. They are decent in the two previously mentioned aspects but in terms of longevity they are nothing short of shockingly bad. They are not compatible, in my opinion, with heavier cars. The car has done 5,000 miles with them, mostly in and around town with the occasional motorway journey, and I need to replace both tyres. It's a thumbs down from me and I'll never be buying the brand again.

A set of new Davanti DX640's were fitted to a car I bought a few weeks ago. Not usually a tyre I would consider, but seeing as the tyres were new I thought I might as well give them a try and get some use out of them. I fully expected to be changing them within a week, but I've driven on dry, damp, wet and lightly snow covered roads, and I have to say I can't fault them. They grip well on corners and braking feels stable. No doubt they won't last as long as a set of Michelins or other premium tyre, but after 1000 miles of use so far, I can't fault them. If they said Michelin on the side people would probably give them much better reviews. They're certainly not ditch finders, so I'll use them until they wear out.

First of all let's put this to bed about Davanti tyres, I work in the tyre trade and sell a lot of different brands, the tyre from my own experience and having used two sets so far has been nothing but a great experience, they do everything I want them to do and wet braking is fantastic, handling also amazing, if it's good enough to be used on track cars at autodromo its good enough for me, everyone i know who drives performance cars uses the brand and have nothing but good things to say, let's be honest, I see a lot of reviews by people using terms that people in the tyre trade use to slag off other brands, specially the new boys in town ie being davanti tyres, hope I am wrong and the reviews are all honest

I got these from my local garage and admittedly I'd never heard of them, but he had them on his own car and I've been going there for years so went with his recommendation. I must say I'm really impressed by them. I've had continentals on from when i bought the car new and I actually think there are better tyres. The weathers been really wet and I haven't had a slippy moment at all. I can't say I throw the car round, but I drive fairly aggressively and the tyres feel really good. I've called back into the garage and told him how good they are.... I got that "I told you so" look from him. A good bit cheaper than replacing them with the Continental's and as I said, I actually think these are better. They also don't seem to have worn at all, granted I've only had them on about 3000 miles, but so far so good. I've marked things down as a 9 as there's no doubt other drivers who'd give them more of a test, so I can't speak for how good they'd be with a maniac behind the wheel!

Ok well, this is just an initial review but so far guys, not bad not bad at all!!! i mean right now I'm strapped for csh and really didn't want to have to do this , my fiesta ST is a performance machine, handles so well and is quick little car, it really puts the hurt on those from tyres with its snappy turbo charged motor, it came on bridgestone protenza which i thought were decent actually, I'm PLEASED to report that the dx640 hasn't ruined the car, they are grippy , very comfortable and quiet, they seem be lacking in dry grip in comparison , wet grip seems to have improved, feedback is about the same, the rear end of the car has always been mobile and these tyres seem about the same as the bridge stones, with 4 tyres i got a lifetime warranty for punctures and damage to them which is insane!!! This hasn't turned out to be one of my worst decisions and I'm hoping they will get better as they are, I'm currently on less than 100 miles, but as with everything you get what you pay for so I'm looking forward to seeing where the compromises are!!

These tyres wore down to the metal banding after 2000 miles, yes 2k and its just my Mrs pottering around the shops. Impressive at first then highly dangerous. Avoid at all costs.

While I drive my car quite vigorously, new tyres only lasted about 8000 miles before I was down to about 2mm. My car is quite the lightweight, but even so I was expecting more. Can be a bit squirrely under hard braking, which is a quite worrying. Sorry Davanti, you're *okay* as a budget brand, but not much more.

These tyres are ditchfinders in the most literal sense of the word - I am now waiting for my car to be done over at the panel beaters' after it skidded, at 40km/h, into a ditch in a tropical downpour while braking to avoid a cyclist. This is only 2 weeks and 500kms after installing them. Thankfully the damage is minor enough, a couple dozen bucks, or I would have been writing documents for a lawsuit, rather than a review post. Avoid at all cost.

Shocked how quickly these have worn, only 13000 miles and I'm looking at replacing in the next 500 miles. Wear seemed to be ok and then very quickly gone. Previous bridge stones lasted 23000 miles. Don't think they are suited to be front tyres of a large front wheel drive car like a RAV4.
Will not be buying again

These are ok ay first on the front but wont be getting bought by me again I'm afraid Davanti. Okish grip in the dry about average for budget tyres if you go steady but scary in the wet or god don't get me started...
Wear is at 4mm after 2000 miles - we say no more... (disappointed Davanti!)
Really, I wouldn't be buying these again to be honest.

Can't believe how quickly these tyres have worn out. Fitted on my Kia Sportage rear wheels. Only on the car 10mth, less than 8,000 miles and already down to 2mm.

By comparison the front tyres are the originals to the car, are 4yrs old and have done over 36,000. Just changing them now but not fitting Davanti tyres ever again.

Can't believe the road noise these make hope they get better after a few miles
