2014 Auto Bild 50 Summer Tyre Shootout

Fifty sets of 225/50 R17 tyres, wet and dry braking from 100kph (62mph), and the best 15 tyres go through to a full tyre test on a BMW 320i Touring . It's a simple concept, but it always gives us an excellent overview of the current state of the tyre market.

As usual, the results are closer in the dry, with 5 meters covering 50 sets of tyres. In the wet a huge 14.5 meters covers the best to worse, which is nearly 4 car lengths!
