Bridgestone Turanza T005 Reviews - Page 6

Given 54% while driving a Mazda CX30 (215/50 R18) on a combination of roads for 22,000 easy going miles
I’ve been driving with these tyres for quite some time now and I have to say that the only very positive aspect is fuel consumption, dry handling is average, on wet surface I never felt really safe, braking feels always a bit too long and finally comfort is simply bad: car is bumpy but not noisy, and on ruined roads is far from acceptable. So I can’t suggest this tyre.

Decent tyre when new, low rolling resistance etc. When the tyre gets below 3mm tread it turns to ice even in the dry. Surprised by the lack of grip with low tread compared to how they were new. Low rolling resistance so you get mpg so for an eco car its a good buy.

Given 41% while driving a SEAT Exeo (205/55 R16) on a combination of roads for 3,000 average miles
They were mounted on a Seat Exeo and produce a lot of noise at temperatures below 20 degrees. At a normal use after about 6000 Km they started to exfoliate the tread and became practically unusable, they were made in France. Too bad I can't attach the pictures. I don't want to hear about Bridgestone anymore. I noticed that at their launch they had a better review and now after 2 years their rating has dropped a lot.

Given 84% while driving a Honda Odyssey JDM (215/55 R17) on a combination of roads for 18,000 spirited miles
Bought these with 65% thread. Quite surprise with the road feedback, better than Michelin P3 and P4 (my choice of tyre). Wet performance is good, no aquaplaning 90kph about 1cm of water. Will buy again

Given 94% while driving a Mercedes Benz C220 CDI Sports (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 25,000 average miles
Dry performance is extremely good and on the wet those tire are the queen of the road. Wear rate is above average and Turanza T005 are the quietest summer tires I have ever had. Very comfortable and low level of noise in the cabin. 100% would recommend not only for the outrageous performance but also for the reliability and convenience during high speed cornering.

Given 74% while driving a Citroën c3 Picasso 1.6 diesel (195/60 R15) on a combination of roads for 12,000 average miles
Got new Turanza's fitted on my Citroen C3 Picasso in April and managed to accumulate ~12 000km in that period. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase - a very reliant and responsive tyre. I've driven them in a variety of weather - dry, hot and dry, slight rain, heavy rain and they never let me down nor disappoint. I am not a big tyre expert, but I haven't seen any wear so far. Mind that this is family car and I normally drive with two kids in the back, so no aggressive of fast driving. One thing to note is that they are indeed noisier compared to my previous tyres, but they compensate with reliability. Overall, if I had to buy new summer tyres today, I'll definitely go back to Bridgestone.

Given 80% while driving a Audi A4 2.0 TDi 170 S Line (225/35 R19) on a combination of roads for 25,000 average miles
I switched to these tyres after purchasing an audi a4 black edition. The car originally came with cheap jinju tyres which where awful! Spinning in the wet. Under steering in the wet and abs kicking in on the motorway. These tyres are night and day difference. I have never had any issues with under steering. They brake very well in the wet and dry. I have full confidence in these tyres after experiencing the quality at the other end of the spectrum. They are slightly noisy but that is a small gripe for the sure footed stability they provide. I will be purchasing again.

Given 20% while driving a Citroën C3 Aircross SUV (215/50 R17) on mostly country roads for 10 easy going miles
At 10k Miles, these are the worst tyres I have ever had. Factory fitted at new to a Citroen Aircross, they have the worst handling I have ever experienced. The wheels slip and slide at junctions, have absolutely no traction on muddy roads, are horrendously noisy and I have no faith in them whatsoever. I believe Citroen have gone back to fitting Michelins again - Amen to that. More importantly, after a year old, these tyres have started cracking all over the outer inch and a half of the tyre. They are spider like cracks and these also extend into the grooves. It is as if they have started to age prematurely and this is happening on both the fronts and is just starting to happen on the rears too. I can't put up with them anymore, so am having them removed tomorrow and getting Michelin CrossClimate + tyres fitted all round.

Given 77% while driving a Toyota Auris (205/50 R16) on mostly country roads for 2,000 spirited miles
These replaced Toyo Proxes on my Auris 1.6. They got installed just before spring and would spin up when it was cold and raining. Once it warmed up they were great even when it was wet. To be honest handling I would not be able to judge based on the Auris, the car was just not built for that. Braking and acceleration were way better compared to the previous tyres. Fuel economy was improved as well. Covered about 3000 miles before selling the car, tread was still around 7.9- 8 mm on all corners.

Given 74% while driving a Skoda (205/55 R16) on a combination of roads for 10,000 easy going miles
comming from Rains Sport 3 these tyres seems to be less effective on wet however a bit more comfortable on long journey. I was expecting to last better. It seems an improvement on durability but is not a jump. The negatives are on the wet anf sudden moves. on straight line they do not make a big difference but steering in wet is less effective comparing with Rain Sport 3 and sportier starts are a no go with Touranza. The wheels are spining every time regardles wet, dry, sandy or clean surface. It seems that the highway comfort (road performance and stability on straight line) and the fuel consumption are the best points of the tyre.
