I drive a Toyota MR2. Previously shod with Federals which were good but terribly noisy as they neared the 2mm safe tread limit.

I did a lot of homework on which tyres to replace them with... Price was not a factor. Initially I did not even bother to look at the Hankooks of this world until I heard they were being fitted as OEM to Audi's in South Africa.. So, I then trawled the forums and found that they were rate extremely highly.

I have found them to be a near perfect replacement. Yes, the side walls are a wee bit forgiving but that translates to comfort. They remain sufficiently firm and low profile enough to give excellent cornering support so I think they have a good balance. (I took out insurance with them to cover any possible damage as a result of wall softness].

Wet Performance: Very good. In Africa when it rains the heavens just 'open' and we get pooling on the roads... they handle this as well as anyone can reasonably expect. On normal wet road cornering they perform very well indeed.I rate them better than average by some distance.

Dry Performance: Good, better than previous tyres and better than Pirellis before them.

Road Feedback: Less than my Potenza's on my 911, but perhaps due to wall softness. Not bad though.

Progressiveness: Good, better than average. They break away progressively in spite of the mid engine 60/40 weight distribution of the car.

Wear: Average. I am not unhappy with the wear - it is even and seems in keeping with previous brands.

Comfort: Damn good. Quiet!

Buy Again: Yes, and I would fit them to my 911 if I still had it.

was in 2 minds not to get these as the reviews all said sidewalls were soft.I got them fitted, went home and parked with half my wheel on a slight raised path.The tyre was half flat!!!! NO!!!tyre walls are putty.Too late now.Holiday to scotland ahead.
Went on holiday so raised pressure for motorway.5 people and boot full.100 mph...sorry 70 mph all the way..no problem.Once the boot was empty, i started seing how much grip they had.very good.not quite as good as conti 5, but not far off and £35 a tyre cheaper.All holiday the dry grip was good.In the wet they were very good too.Now on greasy slippery roads where cheap tyres are bad.These were good.Quite impressed.The more mile they do, the better they are.My car is 205 bhp and normaly spins the wheels in 1st and 2nd.Not any more.No idea what they will wear like.Will i buy them again?YES.was scared of tyres busting on rocky roads.I went over loads...no problems.Just shocked me how soft they realy are

very impressive tyres for the price. I have tried to the max speed (142mph) with comfidence. No wobbling whatsoever. Same as cornering, as long as the tyre pressure is high (mine 36 psi) they handle superbly well, they grip, grip and grip. Perhaps better than Conti CSC2, in my opinion at least. As for noise, nothing is extraordinary here. They are quiet but not whisperingly quiet. Comfort level is way better than CSC2. Maybe it's too early to comment wear. But they still look new after 500 spirited miles. Highly recommended.

These tires are mis-categorized as UHP summer tires. They should be listed as a performance touring tire.
I have modified and put performance tires on every car I have owned since I put BFG Comp T/A 60H tires on my 1981 Celica GT, and the V12 Hankooks sidewalls are just FAR too soft for the tire to be anything but a touring tire.
They were cheap, comfortable, did well in the wet, and wore well...but they were soft as wet clay and airing them up made them quite unpredictable.
Never again.

Put these on my BMW 520D 2008 in stead of the normal run flat tyres. Best thing that I have done. The ride is quieter and more comfortable and there appears to be no difference in the road performance. No more tram lining on dodgy roads which is a pleasant bonus. The tyres are good value for money. I went for them because they were rated one of the quietest tyres and because of the modest price.

I have 2 4WD Skoda Yeti's and live high up in the Alps. Plenty of hard cornering and the locals dont take any prisoners from a speed perspective so you learn to adapt your driving to fit in!
Each Yeti came with different factory tyres, Dunlop Sport SP01 and Good Year Eagles. The Dunlops were by far the better tyre in both wet and dry conditions, however both lasted well over 20,000 miles.
When it came to replacing both sets of tyres, I spent a lot of time looking through the options and am glad I did. Eventually, I decided to replace the Dunlops with these Hankooks, saving over 100 Euro for a set of four tyres and after 5000 miles of driving the Hankooks I can report that these tyres are excellent. The positive feel of the steering has improved, there's less wollowing through corners and a more positive change of direction, this I guess is due to the stronger tyre walls. The there is less road noise on motorways and at speed than the Dunlops. Dry driving has similar but not quite the same levels of Grip as Dunlops, but there really isnt much in it unless your charging at corners. However, driving in the wet has been transformed. The Hankooks are worlds BETTER than both the dunlops or good years, there isnt a hint of loss of grip even in the worst wet weather.
These are great tyres and you really cant call them budget tyres, just solid value for money. I will be buying these again (and again and again!)

What more can I say but this is one of the best set if NOT the best set of tyres I have had on a car and I have had some well known brands on some very fast cars. Very good in the dry and wet with little road noise. In the corners they hold the road well and will chirp if pushed to the max but have never let go. Will definitely recommend and I will buy again. What a good set...... BIG THUMBS UP;-)

Replaced Bridgestone RE050A's on the front end of my RX-8(231). Bridgestone, being probably the biggest premium brand on the market, really let me down with these tyres and therefore thought it was time for a change.

To be honest, they look amazing on the rim and both dry grip & wet grip of the Hankook V12 evo's have outperformed the Bridgestones in my opinion, which is what most people are looking for. However ...... the biggest disappointment is the sidewalls. Coming from probably the stiffest sidewalled tyre I have ever driven on (RE050A), the Hankook's felt like Jelly. This is the only bad thing I can say about these tyre's to be honest, but it is bad enough for me not to buy them again as they ruin my driving experiences in the corners :(.

I'd say this tyre would more suit a driver with a sporting hatchback who enjoys to take a nice line into a corner, but also wants the comfort on the A Roads when with the family.

To summarise, if this tyre had a stiffer sidewall, it would be a perfect sports tyre and I would then definitely buy again. As it is now, it would probably suit my wife's Ford Focus perfectly.

I drive a 2006 330bhp forester sti with 370ftlb torque so its no slouch and use the car for commuting and a bit of spirited fun.
These tyres were fitted already to my car when i bought it so don't know how many miles they'de already done (what i DO know is they had done several laps around the nurburgring by the previouse owner plus his traveling driving from the uk and back again). I had done around 1000miles before i had them checked and they were all on 5mm, ive done 16k since then and they are now on 3mm so now looking for a new set. Handling is well up there with the hi end brands, in fact i feel more confident with these than i did with my eagle f1's and conti contact3's! Road noise can be a little irritating but by just turning up the radio cures that..lol In fact the ONLY downside and if any the only reason i wouldn't use them again is the availability of them, they seem to be out of stock everywhere!
