Volkswagen Golf 8, 1.5 TSI Tyre Review Highlights
This review is not focused on the performance of the tire, but rather serves as a caution for those considering this tire due to potential manufacturing issues.
Here's what happened: I purchased four tires that exhibited significant vibration problems. It’s unclear whether this was due to issues in production or storage. After having the tires mounted and balanced at a garage, I noticed my car vibrating at highway speeds, so I returned to the garage for further inspection.
The garage rebalanced the tires and discovered that they were not perfectly round, which was visibly noticeable. When the tires were rotated on the balancing equipment, the surface was uneven, with varying heights from the inside to the outside.
All four tires had this issue, ranging from minor to severe.
I contacted the online shop where I purchased the tires to arrange a replacement or return, but it has turned into a long and frustrating process. It’s been a waste of time! If you are considering buying these tires, I strongly recommend consulting a local tire expert and avoiding the complications that come with ordering and mounting them through different parties.
I trust TYRE REVIEWS, which is my favourite auto-related website as a petrolhead. I genuinely believe that the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 offers top performance in its class. However, this experience has been so disappointing that I will never, ever consider purchasing Pirelli tires again.
For reference, these tires were produced in Romania during the 14th week of 2024.

Dry, wet and snow grip were good while they were new. Unfortunately after only two winter seasons (approx. 10 000 km) tires became hard and performance on wet started to be really bad. I’ll have to replace them before next winter. Tires were never driven during warm weather which is why I am very surpsired with such a bad degradation. Not going to buy them again.
