Latest Yokohama BluEarth XT AE61 Reviews

Given 62% while driving a Toyota (215/65 R17) on mostly motorways for 9,000 average miles
When I am look tires for my newly buy used Alphard Hybrid, I was attracted by the ad saying the AE61 is quiet and comfortable. However after trying for 2 months 9000 km. I found it's comfortability and qietness only realize on those newly build road surface. In Japan most road is good but it it not the case in the rest of the world. It is bumpy and noisy on those aged road surface. Grip and handling is ok. Tire wall is too stiff. I will look for another brand after 50k km.

Given 84% while driving a Toyota 2006 Avalon (235/55 R19) on mostly town for 13,000 miles
Having tried many types of tyres in my 30+ years of driving, I finally have an opportunity to try out the latest AE61 on my new car. After 22000 km, in wet, ponding and dry weather mainly in city driving. I found it to be very responsive, good performance in wet and dry braking and good stability. Tyre wear is very even and about 55%. So tread-wear is very reasonable for a “performance” tyre. Shoulder is rigid and provide stable cornering even in ponding conditions. It was also cheaper by about 30 USD than the branded tyres I intended to buy. Certainly worth my $ so far. Need to see how will the tyres performed when reaching 20% of tread left. It’s fuel efficient too although my car is a hybrid.

Given 80% while driving a Toyota Raize (225/55 R18) on a combination of roads for 3,600 spirited miles
Handling is pretty good, even on wet conditions and not so smooth surface, the grip i would say is amazing the downside is when you go on unpaved road the tire is far from comfortable
