Driving on mostly town for 5000 easy going miles
I admittedly bought the tire about 4 years ago and my bike sits under the house most of the time.
I reckon I get it out once a fortnight so it’s not done a lot of kilometres.
From memory, Pirellis used to be made in Italy. This one is Chinese and has developed a split in between the tread, down to the banding in the centre of the tire.
Seems like poor quality.
I’m a bit pissed. If I’d used it more regularly or off road I’d feel ok but there’s bugger all kilometres on it.

I use my bike mostly for commuting, but I have done a bit of touring too. These tyres have never let me down, but do seem to wear out fairly quickly in the centre-band, I had to change my first rear tyre after 6000 miles. I am now starting to look at a set of new tyres after the current rear has done 4500 miles. I probably would buy these again, I don't have any specific problems with them as such, but I do not push my bike to its limits often at all.
