Previously, I had mitchelin ps4 frt and rear (good all round tyre ) tho suffered bad with aquaplaning with 4mm treat on the frt tyres even at 50mph ,chamged the fit tyres to Bridgestone potenza sport ; have to say the Bridgestone tyres are worst tyres I have ever fitted to a car, I was not to bothered about the high wear rate if they performed well ; but the Bridgestone were dreadful when the weather was cold wet or dry constant skipping on acceleration from Standstill or from say 30mph plus on tight corners they roll so bad brushing the side wall even if I increasing tyre pressures and only lasted 8k miles Only one good thing they was better at aquaplaning then the ps4s and the only time they gripped ok wet or dry if the day temp was above 14 dregs

As I needed four tyres now, not just the front tyres looking at all the reviews… thought I try Toyo ps3 or falken fk320 both lower price then premium brands (but are they as good.?)

Wow fitted the Toyos str8 away my car felt so much better these the Toyo tyres are better tyre in every way. These tyres just give so much confidence. The first biggest thing I noticed is the steering response, so much more direct and positive now if i floor it from stand still in the wet . They will spin a little like any fry wheel drive car . But they just start digging in: as with the Bridgestone they just give up .and Just skip and spin more , the toyos work well even when the tyres are cold on a cold day still do v well wet and dry
Lots of grip cornering and hard braking
Aquaplaning seem good so far tho only done 2500 miles of wear on the Toyos
If you want to sharpen yours steering response and help with understeer these tyres are the amazing
Road noise seems ok about the same as a ps4 s
No tyre roll at all on tight corners
Toyo have designed a great tyre for the price “the new proxes sport 2”
Seem robust and great value
Tyre wear so far so good , covered 2500 miles ,no sights of heavy wear
Would fit these tyres again for sure
Was a bit of a gamble as the Toyos had only 3 reviews being a new tyre

Overall good tyre, lacks sportiness a bit but for price point of 110€ in my dimension is really decent tyre.

No problem at all with dry grip/handling/braking... whatever involves dry tarmac you will be more than happy with it. You do of course have to be careful on tyre pressure as it really changes the steering fell and ultimate grip of the car. I kept a cold pressure of around 2.0 front 1.9 rear (bar) and once they are nice and hot rising to 2.3/2.2 you really feel confident also on higher speeds. You do have to check wear, once you have worn tyres the car starts to behave a bit unpredictable at times and it's not very pleasant. In the wet having a 200hp fwd car (with quite worn tyres) you don't have assured grip until 4th gear if the street is not in good condition but I guess it's normal. Speaking about straight and curved aquaplaning I haven't had any real issue. I didn't really push the car too much on wet tarmac so I will not express other feedback. The tyres lasted a bit more than a year used only in hot weather (from mid april to mid november) and around 15,000 km (never tracked the car). Having a relatively small shoulder (as the size of the tyre is 215/40 r18) as well as definitely not doing much to preserve their life of course destroyed them sooner, yet I still think other similar tyres would worn less. As for comfort again the car itself is pretty stiff so I can't really tell. To sum up, nothing to say about overall dry performance and it's definitely a tyre which can give you satisfaction. That said I will likely want to try sport contact 7 as next tyre to compare it

Very good dry grip. When you heat them they perform very well. Steering was very precise and feedback was very good. In wet conditions when hot perform very well but under heavy rain I had some incidents of aquaplaning. Wear rate unfortunately is very high. Front tyres lasted about 6000km when I replaced them with the same for 6000km. Rear tyres until 12000km when I replaced all wheels still had 8000km for sure. I changed to the same tyre but at 225/40 r18. Lateral and acceleration grip increased in a very good level but I noticed worse steering response and more body roll. Also felt comfier than 215's. Wear seems to be better than 215's so far. I need more wet km to see difference in dimensions change to have proper feedback.

The Pirelli P Zero PZ4s came with the car from the factory and I have driven over 12,000 km on them within 6 months.
Given the type of my car – a small lively hot hatch - I did not spare the tires and enjoyed frequent sporty driving style, be it on the highways or on the twisty B roads.
The grip and handling in dry conditions were very satisfactory and even in sharp turns the tires held their own perfectly.
They are not the best in the wet conditions though and you have to be careful with the wet braking.
I always said jokingly that PZ4s are great for figure skating with your car on the wet/slippery surface.
The tires wear quickly, after 12k kilometers I am on ~3 mm at the front and ~5 mm at the back, so they lasted exactly one summer season.
Around 10k kilometers the tires started occasionally slipping on wet surfaces when turning in very low speeds (e.g. when pulling out of a parking lot).
For the 2025 summer season I will buy either Michelin Pilot Sport 5 or Continental Sportcontact 7 and I will expect better longevity and wet handling.

To summarize the PZ4s are a solid sporty tire for the dry conditions where they perform excellently and you will have a lot of fun with them, however bear in mind that they provide questionable safety on the wet surfaces, and if you like to drive sportingly, they will go after one season.

Fitted to a R56 Cooper S to replace 4x chinese ditch finders that were on the car wen I purchased it. Much much quieter, less crashy, sublime feel and appear equally good in wet and dry conditions. Wear I'm sure will be top notch. I've had 3 x Porsches, S2000 and a couple of MX 5's and this car with these tyres if just fab... I drive it everywhere :-)

I have an I20N Performance. It’s done 3200 light miles. Never tracked or driven hard.
These tyres wear fast!
Don’t know if that’s the lsd or just the type of tyre. Always loved Pirelli tyres and will buy again just in a wider size.

Great on dry roads or track, with great resistance to heat on track for a road tyre.
Excellent feed-back on steering!
They are a bit sketchy on wet cold roads.
I did a pretty long track day with them and around 5'000km on the road, they have around 5'000km left.

Great winter tyre nothing bad to say about it, great all rounder on a sporty car.
After around 20'000km they got 5mm left, the only bad thing is the increased price, next winter i think i will get Pirelli's Cinturato Winter 2.

Michelin Pilot Sport 5 rated 90% while driving a Volkswagen Polo GTI

Replaced these Pilot Sport 5 tyres from the Continental premium contact 6’s that came as standard on car from factory and all I can say is WOW, much less of a dead 12 o’clock feel very progressive when pushing on. Excellent in wet. If I stomped on the go pedal at a roundabout to squeeze out a gap or get me out of bother, the Conti’s just spun up and I had to let of the gas a bit and reapply gently. These Pilot Sport 5’s have NEVER lost traction once yet. The Conti’s were not badly worn either, the rears had about 4ml of tread and the fronts had just under 3. I changed them as I just couldn’t get on with them, they felt hard very crash over bumps. I would buy these PS5’s again in a heartbeat. My car tyre size is quite niche and there isn’t a lot of premium choices but I’m so glad I got these!
