Autogrip F107 Reviews - Page 6

Given 100% while driving a SEAT Altea (205/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 20,000 average miles
Superb tyre - I can't understand all the negative things said here about this tyre. I would have no hesitation buying this tyre again. I put it on my SEAT ALTEA 1.6 Ecomotive. I think other tyre manufacturers may be posting negative data on their competitors tyres sold at much cheaper price? It's a pity this excellent review site is being abused like this. The AUTOGRIP F107 tyre looks almost identical to the BRIDGESTONE make which makes me think that these tyres use exactly the same platform. They are TOP PERFORMERS at a BUDGET price.

Excellent tires, better than Federal 595, its made by muchelin. Very comfortable. No noise like the W shape tires

Here's a warning about Autogrip tyres - Just took a corner, not at excessive speed and the back tyres lost all grip in the wet. Fishtailed wildly and just avoided the ditch. I know this road well and it is not known to be hazardous in the rain. Autogrip F107 tyres have NO grip in the wet. They should be illegal. They are lethal.

DO NOT BUY THESE TYRES!

have them fitted on the front of my fiesta st and honestly in the wet they will cause the front end to wash out at even normal driving speeds. i was following an old lady in a micra keeping the same speed and my front was wanting to slide wide even at micra driver pace!!

these tyres should be illegal

I bought my Mercedes E320 from a dealer 9 months ago and it has autogrip F107 tyres fitted. After covering 30000 miles I cannot understand all the bad comments about the tyres.I am not a fast driver but drive sensibly to the road conditions and hav'nt noticed any of these adverse comments perhaps I'm lucky or a slow driver.I would have thought driving through the winter 2012 2013 it would be a good test on the car.By the way they wear much better than cotinentals and look at the difference in price.

There is no nice way to put this so I'm going to just let you know that these tires suck. I needed 4 new tires and went to my usual Mr. Tire garage and they convinced me that these were great tires, I should have waited and done some research on them because they sound as bad as when I had the badly bald tires on the car. I have several passengers in my car ask me if I need new tires because the sound inside the car is very pronounce. I have not had an opportunity to drive them on wet pavements and after reading all these reviews, I'm really worried about doing so. My mechanic was highly critical of the tire and showed me where the tire has a bumpy defect on the outer walls.

snaked in straight line on motorway - thought this was a bedding in problem and found to my cost they are simply abysmal. car write off and hospital for me and oncoming vehicle driver. if this was the USA there would probably be a class action suit against the supplier by now..

Given 36% while driving a Audi TT (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 500 easy going miles
I lost the back end of my (new to me) Mark 2 TT last night around a roundabout going quite slowly in the wet. The rear tyres came with the car and are Autogrip. The TT is front wheel drive so very odd behaviour for the car - I am getting rid of these even though they are brand new as they are a liability.

Given 37% while driving a Mazda MX5 (205/50 R16 W) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
Tyres came on used MX5 & scared the living daylights out of the mechanic who lost back end whilst driving steadily round a roundabout. The 2 fronts were worn & so dealer agreed to put 2 Bridgestones on rear but swapped the remaining 'new' Autogrips to the front. Grip and handling on front is poor and I'm getting rid of them ASAP although they are in 'excellent condition'. Wouldn't reccommend these tyres for any car.
