SEAT Altea Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Michelin Primacy 4 Plus given 57% (225-55-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
For the first time in a decade I decided to use Michelin tyres again. I splurged on a set of 4 Primacy 4+. The performance of the tyre doesn't let me down it is what I expected. Fells very safe on any road. However these tyres make a very loud and dreadful drone on my Skoda Yeti. So annoying. I have to exceed 70 MPH in order to find a sweet spot that the noise id lessened. I guess I am stuck with these for a few years now. I will go back to Hankook when I buy tyres again.

Driving on mostly town for 13000 average miles
Come fitted from Seat factory, 19" are terrible tyres. Really poor wet performance with poor grip and skipping from a standing start Winter/Snow they are useless, 1cm of snow and there's no grip, they are that bad I don't use the car if it snows. Unfortunately it's a lease car so they won't let me change them. Due to change cars shortly and certainly won't be getting another Seat with these tyres fitted.

Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
Car: Altea XL
Location: Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

This is my first time using these tires, I used Goodyear UG9 and Bridgestone Blizzak before. What I can say is that I am satisfied and would give a rating of 8.5/10. The tires hold very well in the dry and there are no difficulties in cornering or braking. When it comes to wet roads, they hold the road very well and I have no complaints except for aquaplaning. Worse aquaplaning (over 90 km/h, over deeper deposits of water on the road) is felt when you go straight, but in curves the aquaplaning is excellent. Not once did they slip or turn on ABS or ESP.

Writing about the Sailun Atrezzo Elite given 90% (205-55-16-)
Driving on mostly motorways for 35000 average miles
Had these fitted on the fount of my car, initially no issues - more later. Having covered approximately 35,000 mile on these tyres with a majority on motorway and A roads have little to complain about with them, comfortable and quite quiet. Handling wise they are good, felt like you could throw the car into a corner and come out of the other side going in the right direction! Never had an issue with these tyres in the wet, held the road well. They were ok in the snow, probably no worse or better than any other summer tyre. I have been impressed with how they have worn, relatively even and at a steady rate - could have squeezed another few thousand miles out of them, but with autumn just around the corner best get some new tread. The only issue I experienced was pressure lose, probably more of a fitting issue as they were loosing pressure from the bead. I was having to check them at least once a week towards the end. All in all satisfied with these tyres. Haven't replaced them with the same due to price difference - £10 extra you can get a premium Goodyear at the moment.

Driving on mostly motorways for 20000 average miles
These tyres have been on the back of my car for a year now and have covered 20,000 miles motorway and town driving. Apart from one puncture - screw, they have been no problem and hold pressure well. Handling wise, they are pretty good - I'm not a slow driver, nor am I a racing driver. They are relatively quiet and hold the road well in dry and wet conditions, never felt out of control. For a low end tyre no complaints.

Driving on mostly country roads for 500 spirited miles
Fitted these in late August 21 so still new & limited mileage but so far very pleased as replaced Goodyear efficient grip 2 tyres that cracked badly after only 2 yrs use. Though had fair bit of tread left. So far finding these good all round tyres. Sporty handling & good grip for most roads, in our Seat Altea mpv, which is 1.9 TDI type. Defo good on economy too as no drop in mpg from Goodyear's. Time will tell on mileage. Would recommend these for good all round sport/touring tyre.

Writing about the Westlake SW602 All Season given 62% (205-55-16-H)
Driving on mostly town for 9000 average miles
I think that these tires are simply winter tires, on which the producer has written "all season" tires.
Be aware that these tires wear really fast.
I won't buy them again.

Very pleased with tire. After 15000km almost no sign of wear. Best touring tire for me.

Driving on mostly country roads for 6000 spirited miles
These tyres are the 3rd set i've had on my car, previous tyres were Kuhmos and Hi Flys and i have to say the're the best so far.
They give me confidence in cornering and the turn in is very precise, also quiet and comfortable. I'm sure the're one of the better tyres to come out of China and at £50 a corner for 225/45x17's, they represent really good value.
Look to be wearing very well and evenly after 6,000 miles. 90% as good as the "top" brands for 50% of the price. No brainer really.

The tyre made by Bridgestone and the tyre you can rely on. Strongly recommended.

Driving on a combination of roads for 0 easy going miles
Very comfortable tire, no noise up to 130kmph and good grip. The worse is that it ends too fast (comparing to bridgestone er300).

It is strange but there is one road (M02 in Ukraine ) that causes tires to produce loud noise (caused by resonance I suppose). The most strange is that road surface is straight and smooth so there is nothing (from my point of view) that can explain this noise.

Writing about the Dunlop SP Winter Response given 47% (195-65-15-T)
Driving on mostly town for 5000 easy going miles
I bought this tires last fall based on reviews and that they were new, and promising, with very good scores all around (marked with C B and 67dB).
They are comfortable, mostly quiet, enough feedback. But dry grip is only ok, and wet grip is non-existent. I've had an accident, from 15km/h (we were going slow, it was crowded, going for a stop at a pedestrian crossing), only because the tires blocked and I just slide for about 10 meters just in the car in front of me. The damages were light, but it was shocked to see how badly this tires are on wet roads. We're lucky it was a mild winter, because otherwise I'm frighten to see how badly they could act in a normal winter conditions.

A friend also bought them for his Skoda, and he said the same thing: in the wet they are very dangerous, and makes the driving totally uncomfortable and unsafe. He also want to switch away from them as he said also they are one of the worst tires he has driven on in the last 15 years.

Sorry, but I totally can't recommend them to anyone. The Nokian's WR A3 that I've bought for the other car are just demonstrating how badly Dunlop has gone this time.
