Braking sucks with these, they lose grip very easy during braking. I own a set of 225/45 ZR18 on a 1500 kg car. When I bought them last year, I was reading all the reviews here and I got convinced to buy them, but I regret the choice. No Barum for me in the future, they are bad !

tyres been on for 23,000 miles,i have now 4mm of tread all round, i have rotated front to rear and back again,the first thing i did notice was the tyres did not roll like my michelins and i say i lost 5 mpg, wet weather grip is quite good, but for £68 at the the time good value,but if i get another
5,000 out of them ? i could of used £350 more fuel over the 28,000 miles,
i travel 5,000 miles a yr on french auto routes and the rest in the uk trying to avoid pot holes and not loose a tyre before they wears out,im looking at the Hankook Ventus Prime 2 next time if i can get them for the right price

I fitted 4 Barum to my wifes Honda FRV people carrier after a poor experience with Avons.So much so Avon actually refunded me 50% of the tyre cost after 3 years they were that poor. The Barums have behaved impeccably since.When my own Mercedes C220 required new tyres I opted for these too. So far no problems at all and equally as good performance and wear wise as previous Michelin. I cover 18000 miles per year so go through some tyres. I would recommend them.

Bought these brand new after my GY Eagle F1 Assymetric's had worn to shreds. Best price to quality ratio out there, period. I also considered Fulda SportControl's but the higher price didn't seem worth the effort. I don't know about the Fulda's but these tires are just epic. For 2/3 the price you get market-leader quality, very slow wearing and comfortable riding tires. The only thing that these tires fall short in by a margin, is progressiveness. Compared to Eagle F1's or analogous, the only place where you would probably feel a noticeable difference in progressiveness, is the racetrack. So a word to the wise on that one. As for everything else, like I said - epic. 6,000 km down the road and the pattern looks brand new.

I have just put my second full set on Barums on after 33000 on the first set with great all round feedback I wouldn't look at anything else now!

Comfort, Road handling in wet or dry is up there with the best.

And great price for a very good tyre which should be in a higher class.

Changed all four in October, it's now august and the front are down to 2mm. The rears are still on 6 so I think that's more the car being front heavy. Otherwise no complaints, they're a standard tyre that does the job it's supposed to at a decent price. I'd get them again if I needed a new tyre quick and I'm a little short on cash. I've had better (but more expensive) and I've had much worse

A good tire for a very reasonable price. Have had them two months now, and the big difference over the previous Falkens is this is a 'quiet' tire. Very nice. I didn't realize how noisy the Falkens were, until I bought these. Very comfortable ride too!

I installed these as 215/40-17's and am comparing them to:
- Goodyear Eagle F1GS-D3
- Falken GRB-FK451 & 452 and,
- Bridgestone Potenza RE92

These are by FAR the quietest and softest tyres of the lot tested above - generally speaking I try to find tyres that have relatively stiff sidewalls, in order to protect my rims but now that I no longer track the car, I wanted something easy on the wallet and comfortable.

I would NOT call these a "very high-performance" tyre, because they feel relatively soft, and the sidewall flex is definitely noticeable, especially on highway ramps - they tend to feel pretty vague and squishy once you begin to drive "spiritedly". In the wet they perform as I'd expect: average - they grip well in the wet, just slightly worse than in the dry, and do not have hydroplaning issues when new. Performance wise, I'd still choose these over an "all-season" tyre, but don't expect the world of them - drive like you're supposed to on the street, and these will be very rewarding.

Good tyres, didnt last as long as I had expected, however I have just placed an order to replace my front set which I had fitted about 18 months back. So putting money where mouth is, yes Im buying these again.
Slightly wary of the change in fuel rating dropping from a C last time I purchased them to an E this time round Hmmm... All round good tyre come rain, snow or shine. I would recommend these for the price. Way quieter than the Pirelli P6's I had on previously. They were awful...

Worst tread wear i have ever experienced. I only got 10K out of the tires. Normal driving back and fort to work. Less then 10 miles. Discount tire told me that these tires have no warranty and no refund!

Bought 4 tyres in May last year and have covered 20k+ miles. Comfort and noise are good and wear is excellent. All 4 are wearing evenly and the rears look as though they could do the same mileaage again so I'll rotate them soon. Wet driving is not too bad at sensible speeds and dry is reassuringly grippy. The one let-down was getting used to the roly-poly nature when I first bought them. The sidewalls are not the strongest and if I did any 'vigorous' cornering the car would roll about like a yacht causing me to over-correct. At first I thought I was driving much too fast but then realised it was definitely the tyres. The car would lean into a bend as normal and then give a small but noticeable lurch (like when liquid swashes to one side of a tank) It was a very weird experience but the answer was to simply modify my driving style to suit the tyres and I've had no problems since. If you are an enthusiastic driver then I suspect these will not be the tyres for you but driving within 'reasonable' parameters they are as good as most top makes. From someone who always used to pay for top-of-the-range tyres and who, like most, can no longer afford extortionate prices, these 'budget' ones are almost as good in every way except for wear which is even better.
