Given 37% while driving a BMW 535d M Sport (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 4,500 spirited miles
Too expensive. Wear ridiculously fast. My car is almost 300hp. The MPG possible suggested by BMW is 42~ and I'm currently averaging 38. I do mixed around town and motorway driving. My wheels are quite big (275-30-19) so road noise is more expected but for such an expensive tyre it's ridiculous. The tires have lasted (and no I am NOT joking) 4,500 miles from BRAND NEW to 1.6mm. I am appalled. I have recently changed to Vredestein Sessenta Ultrac. Wow.

I assumed a relatively high powered torquey diesel will spin up in the wet, of course it will. But it never does now, like always before on the conti's from standing start. Not only that but the feel of the steering is greatly heightened. It has amazed me how bad these tyres are. It may be just this size or a bad pair but I had all four corners changed at once, my front wheels are on 6mm across. I do hammer the car on occasions but I'm not going to rally about in a big 5 series. My advice especially on this size tyre, don't pay over £280 a corner when you can get the Vredesteins for £165 each from www.clickontyres.com.

Given 97% while driving a Ford S Max Titanium X Sport (235/45 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 2,000 spirited miles
These tyres have replaced Michelin HP on my S-Max Titanium X Sport. The Michelins at 3mm had become lethal in the wet but were ok from new/ In the recent heavy rain / flooded roads the Continentals have been very sure footed. they are quieter too. In the dry the Michelins would easily spin during a fast pull away but the Continatals do not. Also there is a far deeper rim protection on these tyres. Cannot really comment on wear but these are great for a 240bhp "Sports activity vehicle" , wish it had been on these from new!

Given 70% while driving a Skoda Octavia (205/55 R16 V) on mostly motorways for 50,000 average miles
I have these tyres on a Skoda Octavia estate and I have just changed the front tyres at 51000 miles as they were at the wear blocks. The rear tyres were changed about 45000 miles with about 3.5mm of tread left due to a puncture in one tyre. The are a good all round tyre, much better than the Bridgestones on my previous Octavia.
I had no hesitation in buying Conti sport contact 2 again

Given 59% while driving a Porsche (205/50 R17 W) on mostly town for 5,000 average miles
Nice looking tyre with excellent grip. I previously had Bridge stone SO2 Tyres on the rear of my 2.5 Boxster, but thought that only lasting 8000 miles was poor for a premium tyre! This time round I went for the Continental Sport Contact 2 tyres........ oh dear!! I drive my car carefully, and have only covered 5000 miles since they were fitted, and they are down to the wear indicators already. Not happy!!! Not at £150 a corner! I always maintain the correct pressures, and have just had a four wheel alignment check and adjustment. Not sure which tyre to try next that is Porsche recommended and suits the Boxster? I might try the Michelin.

Given 86% while driving a Skoda Suberb MkII (205/55 R16 V) on mostly motorways for 70,000 average miles
70000km on skoda superb, 60% freeway driving. Good road holding in wet and dry for the life of the tyre. Increasing highway road noise approaching wear bars.
I run upper limits of pressure, front to back rotation at 30000km.

Given 69% while driving a Ford Focus MK3 (205/55 R16 V) on mostly town for 9,000 easy going miles
Even though these are a premium tyre they are let down by the terrible wear rate on them. Performance in the dry is very good, when pushed cornering or going around roundabouts they stick very well. Wet performance is ok, however in severe weather with standing water they do not feel adequate - it's this that lets them down for their wet performance.
The biggest disappointment is the wear. Only 9000 miles on a set of fronts from a Ford Focus diesel. Driving has been mainly around town and this has been conservative driving with the current price on fuel. Other reviews back up the wear issue with these tyres. To replace like for like I was not prepared to pay the high price for Continentals, instead I have opted for Uniroyal Rainexpert.

Given 89% while driving a Audi S3 (225/40 R18 W) on mostly town for 30,000 average miles
drove almost 50k km on those on Audi S3 (8p). I was surprised they took so much beating. Great tires and strongly recommend them, however there are a few cheaper ones worth trying out.

Given 80% while driving a Volkswagen Polo 1.4 16v (195/45 R15 V) on a combination of roads for 13,000 spirited miles
great handling tyres alllowing some give in a FWD hatchback allowing lift-oversteer. handles great in the wet unfortunately they are a little noisy and wear isn't amazing. just swapped the fronts and rears around for better distribution of wear.

Given 83% while driving a Chrysler PT Cruiser (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 300 average miles
Something strange happened to me ! I've had a real bad experience with Conti Premiumcontact tyres on one of my cars.

Now I've bought myself another user car that had small wheels on it, so I looked for some nice rimms. I found something that I liked and there were Continental SportContact 2 tyres on them, all from a different fabrication date going from 2004 till 2007. So my expectations were very low.
The simple fact that all four the tyres were also down to less then 3 mm made me realize that the tyres were probably worthless.

So I 've put the rimms on the car and took it for a ride, got the presure right and... they're incredible ! Dry grip is great, I drove the car (a 1470 kg PT Cruiser) twice around a big roundabout to make the tyres break loose, but it didn't happen !

Even today on wet roads there was no problem with grip ! there's only some road noise, but what do you expect from tyres almost to the minimum ?

So I gave wear 5 points cause I couldn't tell how they wear, but discovered that one Conti is not as the other. I would definitly consider these for a next buy.
