Driving on mostly country roads for 10000 average miles
after reading reviews bought these to replace horrible factory fitted goodyear efficient grip which made a hollow, humming ringing noise on most road surfaces. What a transformation. The Octavia is now as quiet as the previous passat I traded in. They are also wearing well (about 1mm per 9000km ) so I hope they keep making these as I'm not risking any other brand while I own this car !

Driving on a combination of roads for 4000 average miles
Good tires, especially compared to my old Debica Frigo tires. On snow, they are quite predictable: you know what to expect from them and where their limit is. They also hold up average on ice. For frequent driving on ice, I would recommend other tires. These tires perform best on wet snow, when the snow is mixed with water, like slush. In those conditions, they're unbeatable. They handle well, especially when there's a lot of snow mixed with salt or on a strong snowfall when the temperature is mild. These are probably some of the most challenging conditions in a city, because everyone is tense, driving conditions are tough, but you feel confident, both braking and handling in these conditions are excellent.

Driving on mostly motorways for 20000 average miles
I've had one pair for about 20k and another fitted 10k ago, it looks like the lifetime is going to be around 35k. I'm an economy driver, so they are a good fit for me, an important factor was the quietness, which they deliver. If you are after a sports feel, you may be disappointed, they don't behave that well in a curve. Given the budget price and lifetime, good value for getting from A to B.

Writing about the Firestone RoadHawk given 67% (195-65-15-V)
Driving on a combination of roads for 800 easy going miles
First off, it's paramount to state these tyres ARE NOT SPORT tyres. These tyres are a middle of the road, family car, daily driver tyre. They are soft, grippy in the wet & dry, quiet, and very comfortable when driven in the green zone. They're not designed or manufactured for even moderately spirited driving, not-to-mention sporty driving.
I have these fitted on the front of my Mk2 Octavia replacing a pair of Hankooks that were fantastic for the 2 years I had them but should have lasted much longer considering their price point.
So, if you are looking for tyres for the car you ferry your little precious ones around in then you are on to a winner here. They do everything very well. Their only two negatives are pricing and durability. Their price point is a little excessive for their known wear issues. They're not starting off great at 7mm thread depth and Firestone are not noted for their supremely durable compounds so I'll be happy if they last 2.5 - 3 years on the back as Im switching to a pair of Crossclimates on the front as soon as my tyre shop gets them in.

Final word. Know what type of driving you do b4 choosing this tyre. It great only for what its designed to do.

Driving on mostly town for 12000 average miles
Driving on this tires is real nice.
Are a little bit noise, but handling and comfort of ride for the price are real good.
Tires worn out about 1.5mm in 12000 miles mostly town roads.
On motorway are good also.
PROS: Handling, conform of ride, long lasting, good handling on wet roads.
CONS: A little noisy at speed over 130 km/h and fuel efficiency.

Great quality tires for the price!

Driving on mostly town for 12800 average miles
These tyres have excellent dry and wet grip. I've driven them on all types of road and in all conditions except for snow and ice. They are very comfortable to drive on and give a stable and sure response when driving in all conditions. I've had them on the car for 18 months while driving in the city mainly, and occasionally on longer drives on various roads from Motorway to B grade roads. They have always handled well. My only concern is that I have only driven 12800 miles in them and they are already worn down below 1.5mm. I'm very surprised with that. I think I will only manage to get 2 years out of these tyres and possibly between 15-16k miles.
