Dunlop Grandtrek ST30 Reviews - Page 2

Given 39% while driving a Honda CRV (225/60 R18 H) on a combination of roads for 20 spirited miles
Had Bridestone on my CRV Mk3 then continental and now dunlop - By far dunlop must be the worst tyre to use on AWD motors.

Given 80% while driving a Honda CRV (225/65 R18) on a combination of roads for 32,000 easy going miles
Great in all weather conditions including deep snow but they wear down quickly on my Honda CRV. Car has only done a steady 32000 miles but have had 2 sets on front and one set on rear. Have now got Michelin Latitude Tour HP on the rear and am going to have these al;so fitted on the front.

Given 80% while driving a Honda CRV (225/60 R18 H) on a combination of roads for 20,000 average miles
Fitted front tyres for CRV Mk III in June 2010. Replacing them now Sept 2013 having done almost 20,000 miles. Fronts at 2mm, backs on the limit. Driving in rural SW France since Feb 2011... in mainly dry conditions: roads very hot in summer and ice and snow (no gritting on back roads) in winter but this occurs rarely. Happy with performance of these tyres in both conditions. Getting noisier now on main roads at higher speeds. However, haven't tried any other make so can't compare.

Given 81% while driving a Honda CRV (225/45 R18 R) on a combination of roads for 35,000 average miles
I've done 35,000 miles on the original Dunlop Grandtreks on my Honda CR-V Mk 3. Front 2 tyres now close to the legal limit, but rear 2 probably have another 6 months in them. I'm changing all 4, and after reading reviews of other options, other brands seem to suffer either from rapid wear or poor grip in icy/snow conditions. My miles have been very mixed, lots of low mileage journeys on local roads, hence the nearside tyres got harder wear than the offside. Overall impression: they have lasted well for SUV tyres, and have been surefooted in the occasional icy moments in south-east England.

Given 84% while driving a Hyundai Terracan (255/65 R16 H) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
I find it odd when a genuine on/off road tyre is fitted to an on road car as you get strange reviews. Mine are fitted to a Hyundai Terracan which does a mix of 60% on tarmac, 20% on fields and 20% off road.

This is what these tyres were designed for and they work well at a reasonable price. Was on Pirelli Scorpion STR's before which were marginally better on the motorway, but worse off road. Buy the tyres to suit the use, not what some dodgy garage sells you!!

Given 57% while driving a Honda CR V III (225/60 R18 H) on a combination of roads for 22,000 spirited miles
22ooo enthusiastic miles and the fronts are shot.when new they were great, from around 5000 miles on, the wet grip really fell off, and the second winter was not a nice experience, very careful driving was needed.when these tyres let go they just go, not much warning,in the wet, dry grip still not too bad as i am almost on slicks.2mm left on them.

Given 59% while driving a Honda CRV (225/60 R18) on mostly town for 11,000 easy going miles
Quite stable on dry roads, stability bit affected while wet surface. Do not recommend for winter. Very little grip on snow, especially braking on snow. Forget about ice navigation. I used them for 20000km as default gumms for.my Honda CR-V. The front right is already bit cracked due to unkown reasons, whereas the other three look decent. They are very noisy...noise level compared to a winter tyre.
