Very good in dry and wet conditions. The only thing i have to mention is that the side wall of the tyre is so soft and in continuing open turns you dont have the right feedback. You feel that the car is starting to slide and you try all the time to correct it. You dont feel so sure if you try to turn with a few km more. Safe tyre but with no confidence. I didnt see any "performance" even from the first km.

Given 90% while driving a Subaru Legacy (225/45 R17) on mostly town for 6,000 easy going miles
Had these fitted to my 2001 Subaru Legacy in size 205/55/16 this summer. So far i've got 10000km with them and i hardly see any wear what so ever. I've had two nail punctures while parking in front of my home. Those are not the tire fault, but still subjectively, it is a minus on my buy again criteria. On the road they feel quiet, comfortable and a little bit too flexy. Went through a mountain pass and on the corners i could feel the tire flexing two much. I've driven dirt roads and had no issues, also on the sandy beach, the car holds its own. On the motorway those have great rolling qualities and while being soft, they don't heat up as much as my old ones(by far). This is great as they don't become sticky and the "miles per gallon" are kept high.

Overall: Great tires for good money, but could be better, if they had stiffer sidewalls. I would buy them again, if not for wanting to try other brands summer tires. I like to compare things myself.

Hi,
I bought this tire in 205/55/r16. The tire is very comfortable, but this means that the side wall flexes. The dry grip is awesome under hard braking on a relativly un-worn asphalt it breaks witouth ABS ( if you could modulate the brake) in very short distance. The wet braking is very good. so is the traction. The tires are soft, and when they heat up they become very sticky.
The tire holds very well, but the flaw is the soft/flexy sidewall. Under hard cornering it flexes so much, even at low speed. My recommended pressure for this tire is 30 psi. But when they are at 30 psi they look so under inflated. I pump them to 34 psi and they are wearing even. (soft sidewall).
I think that this tire performs much better than Michelin Primacy or Energy Saver....
Would i buy this tire again? Well in the profile 55 no, because i like to "hunt" for apexes etc.. 225/40-45 Yes.

Fitted to Honda Accord and Civic. Very quiet. Great grip. Cars feel solid and go straight. Comfortable drive.

Given 100% while driving a Ford ba falcon (215/60 R16) on mostly country roads for 80,000 spirited miles
Ich lebe im australischen Outback, in New South Wales, genauer in Tilpa. Ich habe einen in Australien hergestellten Ford Falcon (BA). Ich hatte diese Reifen vor 6 Monaten drauf. Ich kann nur sagen, dass sie mit allem klarkommen: Tageshöchstwerte von 52°C, Überschwemmungen, felsige Schotterstraßen und Asphalt. Die meisten Straßen hier draußen sind staubige Schotterpisten. Ich hatte nie ein Loch im Reifen. Extreme Temperaturen – nie ein Reifen geplatzt. Extremer Regen – exzellenter Grip und kein Aquaplaning. Im Outback ist Verlässlichkeit das wichtigste und macht den Unterschied, ob man sein Ziel am selben Tag oder in einer Woche erreicht. Ich kann diese Reifen jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der Top-Performance und Qualität erwartet.

Ich bin sehr angetan von diesen Reifen. Ich bin ein behutsamer Fahrer und reiße viele Kilometer auf der Autobahn herunter. Und diese Reifen halten 65-70 Tausend Kilometer, im Gegensatz zu meinen bisherigen 60 Tausend. Ich mag auch, dass sie leise sind und immer gute Bodenhaftung bieten, bei Nässe und bei Trockenheit. Würde sie wieder kaufen.

Mein Auto wurde mir mit Conty 5 Reifen geliefert und die waren auch toll für rassiges Fahren, aber viel zu steif auf Landstraßen, Kreuzungen, abgesenkten Bordsteinen in der Stadt, etc. Und auch nicht besonders beeindruckend bei Nässe. Ich lebe in der Schweiz und ein Großteil meiner Strecken besteht aus dem wöchentlichen Pendeln über 400 Kilometer Autobahn, plus einige Fahrten ans Meer oder ins Gebirge.
GY Efficient Grip war eine sinnvolle Lösung, um den Komfort zu verbessern, ohne Kompromisse beim Alltagsgebrauch einzugehen. Ich habe beide auf der Autobahn ausprobiert und tatsächlich ist der Conty besser bei hoher Geschwindigkeit. Dennoch ist das meiner Meinung nach seine einzige Stärke und ich bin froh über den Wechsel: Komfort, Abnutzung, Lärm, Verbrauch… hat sich in dieser Reihenfolge alles verbessert.

Given 67% while driving a Skoda Superb II combi 2.0 tdi cr (225/45 R17 W) on mostly motorways for 39,573 easy going miles
After lots of reading I had these fitted in February 2014. They ran a total of 798 days, for 39573 miles, when I had a blowout on the motorway. No idea what caused the initial puncture.

Thread had still another 5-6.000 miles on them, but I decided to change them for 4 Michelin Primacy 's. This mainly because the last 5-8.000 miles were VERY noisy. So noisy I had the car checked for bad bearings, however turned out the tires were unevenly worn (sawtoothing). Alignment was checked and adjusted BEFORE I had them fitted, and alignment was checked again after diagnosing the problem, and was declared ok. I rotated the wheels front-to-back every 10.000 miles, and they didn't run in winter.

Had alignment checked when fitting the Michelins (and the rim was checked aswell) and all was still in order. Car is quiet again, no more 'singing' noise at certain speeds.

We'll see if the Michelins last as long (they bloody better) and if the sawtoothing returns. MPG is still the same at 64,20MPG measured.

in conclusion, I was very happy with the Goodyears' mileage, handling, price, but the sawtoothing problem was a major pain. What bothers me most is that the definite cause is not known, so I can't do anything to prevent it from happening again with the Michelins. I just hope it was a combination of my car + my driving + my roads + my tires that just didn't work out.

IF the sawtoothing hadn't happened, I would have fitted them again.

J'ai eu ces pneus sur ma vieille voiture, une Kia Ceed, adhérence sur le sec, adhérence sur sol mouillé, sensation de la route, le confort, etc étaient excellents, cependant, la structure du pneu parait très molle, toujours inquiet que ça va être endommagé par une bordure. j'ai fait 6000 miles avec avant de vendre la voiture, et n'ai a peine remarqué aucune usure.
J'ai maintenant des pneus Yokohama AE50 sur ma nouvelle voiture, une Civic, ils paraissent beaucoup plus légers que les Goodyear, et la direction parait plus floue avec les Yokohama. Cependant, les Yokohama ont une structure plus dure, et donnent moins de ressenti de la route, ce qui ne me plaît pas.
Entre les deux, je choisirais les Goodyear pour le confort, l'adhérence et la tenue de route

Je vis dans l'outback australien, en Nouvelle-Galles du Sud, à Tilpa. J'ai un Ford Falcon, BA fabriqué en Australie. J'ai ces pneus montés depuis 6 mois. Je peux seulement dire qu'ils sont capables de supporter les températures de 52C la journée, les inondations, les routes en bitume et en rocaille. La plupart des routes ici sont en cailloux. Jamais eu une crevaison. Même par temps extrêmes, jamais eu une baisse de pression. Par forte pluie, une excellente adhérence et aucun aquaplaning. Dans l'arrière-pays, la fiabilité fait la différence entre atteindre votre destination aujourd'hui et l'atteindre dans une semaine, si vous êtes chanceux. Je recommande vivement ces pneus à toute personne qui souhaite les meilleures performances et qualités de ses pneus.
