I live in regional Queensland, Australia. These tyres were fitted two years ago replacing Pilot Sport 3's. My initial reaction was that they were not as good as the 3's but after about 500km I changed my view and have found them to be quite superior. They are quiet, comfortable, grip extremely well and are very good under acceleration and braking in both wet and dry conditions. I achieved about 42,000km with the 3's whereas the 4's are right now on 73,000km. I would have achieved 75,000km had I bothered with a wheel alignment at 70,000km. It is important to note that my driving changed from mostly around town with the 3's to mostly on the open road at 80-100kmh so less accelerating, braking and cornering. I also actively reduced my cornering speeds (most of the time). I am very careful with inflation pressures, balance and wheel alignments (except as commented above). As the tyres became well worn they did become less comfortable and noticeably noisier; also tended to "tramline" which I find happens with all tyres that I've used, especially with front wheel drive. Surprisingly I have found the dry grip still excellent with wet grip only slightly diminished. Braking is unchanged but acceleration definitely needs a gentler throttle; it is quite easy despite traction control to provoke wheelspin. Overall I am absolutely impressed and am having a new set fitted in two days time (together with a wheel alignment of course).

Working as a management consultant, I rent about 50 cars a year. Recently I was given a Hyundai Sonata, a car I've had before. Not one of my favorites, but a decent mid range sedan in 2013.

Driving home from the airport in 3-5 cms of snow and wintery conditions, I was surprised, even shocked at how hard it was to keep the car tracking straight. Even the slightest acceleration sent the car sliding out of its lane. At this point I was going 50 kms an hour.

Normally I don't check the brand of my rental car tires unless the performance was exceptional in one way or another, but at my first stop, I stooped down to see what kind of tires I was using.

When I saw a the Sailun brand, all became clear. An aggressive looking winter wedge tread pattern does nothing to help these tires in snow.

Stopping distance: terrible
Control while turning, accelerating in a turn: abysmal
Starting off from a stop: not good.

I don't know what these tires, cost they must be cheap, but if you are thinking they are worth the money they are not! A decent mid level all season gives more traction and control.

My personal car has one of the best winter tires on it and to think of what I can accomplish in that car in the same conditions, makes me angry that Sailun is allowed to call these a winter tire.

Excellent tire when new in snow and rainy conditions. Dry handling quite good as well. Have put 30,000 kilometres on these tires so far. BIG problem with tire noise once they breached the 20,000 km mark. So loud, I probably wouldn't purchase this brand again. Too bad as they were very good initially as an all round tire. The noise although is unbearable and yes they were rotated etc..properly and at regular intervals.
