Awful tyre... Designed for 30+ mediteranean heat and sticky Italian/Spanish roads.
They have a very hard compound as a result and so while their wear rate is good they only grip in the height of summer when the heat loosens up the compound.

They also track terribly and bump steer leads me to constantly correct the steering on UK roads. The off the line grip is atrocious regardless of whether its dry or not and they give up when exiting corners. They're braking performance is comparative to an average Tyre.

i will never go near these again, and they will be replaced with Kumho's KU31 for less than half the price for a much much better tyre

Had these on the front of my car when I first got it and the dry grip was fine but the wet grip was very poor indeed, constantly triggering the ASR traction control. I now have this model on the rears only and they are fine, no sudden oversteer or anything unexpected. They wear very well indeed on the rear with one in particular having been on there 30,000+ miles and still going strong. This all leads me to think they must be very hard compound tyres, removing them recently confirms this as they are very rigid with exceptionally stiff sidewalls.

Looking at other reviews everyones seems to big these tyres up... i cant say the same in the dry i havent worried they are good, in the wet they are ridiculous i cant tell whether they are gripping or what they are doing ! slide all over the road when very wet and if you want to use your breaks then thats comedy because you will slide like your on ice !! wouldnt buy again may be its because my cars rear engined and rear wheel drive and they is not enough wait over the nose to holt it down !

soft compound yokahomas are the way to go ! spot on tyres on the rear

never the less 13 thousand miles and they got 3 ml of tread !

Very good in my Alfa Romeo 147 Jtd only the wear could be better

a first class tyre all round . i dont think you can go wrong if you buy thesze tyres, the grip levels are massive in the wet or dry.they turn my skoda roomster into a zoomster

My car had these tires when I buy it,
Good grip only in brand new road no matter wet or dry,
The main reason I will not buy again pirelli is that
these tires make big noise when I travel and in daily use are very hard.

These tyres were factory fitted on the C30 when I bought it brand new. They were ok, nothing too special. Nothing wrong with them...

Understandly these tyres were better at handling, stopping, starting etc during use on dry and drier roads then wet or damp roads. I had these same tyres on my previous car a SEAT Ibiza FR TDi and they handled much better on ther FR, I guess the higher weight of the C30 and higher front end weight affect the Pirelli's ability to hold up and handle the loads...

The side wall is soft so any slight kerbing and you'll get a nice chunk out of the tyre. Also due to this the front near side tyre wears out quicker due to roundabout use...

Overall they're ok tyres for this tyre of car, but if like me, you like to push on and 'lean' on the tyres then they're not the best. Also they're too expensive for what they offer. Better than Toyo's T1-R's I put on next but no where near as good as my current boots, Bridgestone RE050's

Too noisy for me and hard compound is sensitive to bumps especially on 19'' rims. Good wear rate and good grip but despite that I wouldn't buy again.

Really good dry grip as long as you reach desirable temperature. Wet grip is not the best I've experienced, however it shouldn't worry you so much as the car does not lose contact with the road unless driver becomes really careless. In snowy conditions, forget it. You need to be really careful.
Amazingly durable sidewalls. After 43.000 klm, all 4 tires did not show any damage, even when climbing on pavements to park.
Performance in dry grip was still high at the end.
Decided to try Toyo's T1R, but would definitily buy P Zero's again!

Terrible tyres on a 2008 Ford Mondeo! The steering tramlined very very badly below 50 mph on any surface which was not billiard table smooth. By the time that the Pirellis were half worn they became noisy and in particular made a droning noise below 35 mph and then again above 80 mph.
I changed to Goodyear F1 Assymetrics and the car was transformed, particularly the steering which became a delight. After 11000 mls the front Goodyears are down to 4mm but the refinement and noise remains as good as when they were new.
NO PIRELLIS FOR ME EVER AGAIN

Given 80% while driving a Renault Clio 172 Cup (205/45 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 12,000 average miles
I had these fitted on my Renaultsport Clio 172 Cup, which has about 180bhp.
I'm very impressed with these tyres and would recommend them to anyone.
Just replaced the fronts after 12,000 miles as they were down to around 2.5mm tread(and I have done 2 track sessions in that time), the rears still have 4/5mm tread left, so the wear is good.

My car doesn't come with ABS as standard, and in the year I've owned my car the tyres don't let go when you have to brake hard as I have not locked up once.

The only downside is I found they don't give that much road feedback and if you are driving enthusiastically they do understeer a little bit, but nothing major.

Have Changed to Hankook Ventus S1 Evo's on the front as there as some very good reviews on here for them and they are £18 cheaper per tyre, so I thought I'd give them a go.
