I am a massive Goodyear fan. I had the Assym 3's on a previous car and never looked back.

I have now had the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5's, Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports, Michelin PS4 and even some Avon's (for a brief period) on my current car - a Golf GTI Clubsport 40.

I mix up my driving a lot - lots of motorway driving but also lots of hard street driving and B road blasts, I find it massively important to have the best tyres possible to allow me to push my car as hard as I can in a safe manner.

Previously, I had the Toyo Proxes Sports fitted - and I can honestly say that there is a night and day difference with the 2nd iteration.

It is simply a better tyre in absolutely every single way. I drive like a ****, and these tyres just give so much confidence. I can brake stupidly quick in both dry and mildly wet conditions, even through the corners. They hook up so well and are incredibly predictable - they really bite the road and mitigate so much understeer in my 2006 Leon FR.

In conclusion the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 performed better in dry braking, dry handling [km/h], wet braking, wet braking - concrete, wet handling [s], wet handling [km/h], wet circle, straight aqua, curved aquaplaning, gravel handling [km/h], gravel traction, grass traction, noise, wear, value, rolling resistance and abrasion, while the Toyo Proxes Sport 2 performed better in dry handling [s], sand traction, mud traction and price.
