Black and round. Easy to break traction with 400hp. Progressively slides. My requirements fulfilled.

These tyres have a really stiff sidewall. I noticed this as soon as I swapped them onto the fronts, potholes and the general road surface felt much harsher. On the plus side, turn in and feel were amazing, and the tyre did not flex under hard cornering.

The main problem or flaw I found with this tyre is that it certainly isnt at its best when cold. Putting the throttle down too early coming off a mini roundabout would see instant understeer. Once heated up though I found dry grip absolutely amazing, and with the great feel i got from these tyres this made the car feel well stuck to the road.

Wet grip I would say was adequate. Fast long corners were not really a problem, but sharper tighter corners would see the car easily understeering where my previous tyres would not. No major problems though.

One thing I did notice was that once the tread level reached around 4.5mm performance of the tyre dropped significantly. This exhibited itself in a 'knife-edge' feel to cornering in the wet even at low speed, and squirming under breaking. The tyres have always been very progressive though so any loss of grip was easy to feel and correct.

These tyres lasted a total of 27000 miles, 6000 on the rear and 21000 on the front, which I consider pretty good.

Id definitely buy these tyres again, if they were still available in my size!

Given 79% while driving a Kawasaki ZXR 636 (180/55 R17) on mostly country roads for 200 spirited miles
just fitted these to my 2004 zx6r and there brilliant. first ride was in pouring rain and they felt really grippy even though they werent scrubbed in. then i took them out on a fast road ride in the dry and got to the edge of the tyre almost immediately and able to put plenty of power down leant over. these tyres just dont need scrubbing in!. if i done that with the avons i would have been off.

Given 74% while driving a Audi TT (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 40,000 spirited miles
OE when new now on 3rd set. Tried Toyo Proxes (set 2) as a cheaper alternative, big mistake! When compared to Michies , Proxes took time to bed, wore more quickly and were not as predictable in the wet.
Highly recommend Michelins on this type of car.

Great looking tyre, lots of grip but wear was terrible. Noticeable more expensive than the Continental equivalent. I have not noticed a difference between the two makes yet.

Given 77% while driving a Ford Focus ST170 (215/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 6,000 spirited miles
These tyres feel hard compared to my previous ones, pot holes feel much harsher. Ive had them on the rear of my car since I bought them. Ive found that they are an excellent all round tyre when taking it easy, lots of grip and good wearing. If your going to push on though you really need to let them warm up as they seem very slidy before they get up to heat, although this can be fun at the right time ;) On the plus side, any loss of traction is very progressive and can be easily corrected before anything major happens. Id definitely have these again if I could actually get ahold of them!

Compares well with the Pirelli P Zero Rosso; much better in the wet and snow than the Bridgestone OEMs.

The Bridgestone s02 tyres that come with the s2000 are fantastic but these are another step again.

The dry grip is probably on par but the wet grip is really good and they last a lot longer than the s02.

Would recommend them to anyone.

Given 84% while driving a Saab Automobile 9 3 Aero HOT (215/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 20,000 miles
Had (already used) Pilot Sports on when I bought the car at just under 3 years old. I did around 16,000 on them after that before the front ones needed changing. Very good wear on a powerful front-wheel drive car. Very grippy, perhaps not as good in the wet. Good enough for me to buy the same tyres as replacements on which I've done another 4,000 miles

Given 84% while driving a MG ZR (205/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 15,000 spirited miles
Easily the best overall tyre I've ever driven on. So much dry grip, so much wet grip and wears better than ANYTHING i've driven on since.

The only draw back is they take a while to warm up and aren't that great from cold, and the very final part of tread goes quite hard.
