Pirelli P Zero Runflat Reviews - Page 4

Given 82% while driving a BMW 135i (215/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 500 spirited miles
Coming from the standard Bridgestone RFTs these are amazing. Much more comfortable, better feedback through the wheel and car, plus more predictable handling.

No wet or wear ratings as they're still quite new (less than 1000km).

Given 76% while driving a Jaguar XF (245/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 9,000 average miles
OEM on Jag XF, these are quite good tyres. Steering feel is perfect, understeer almost nonexistent. Comfort and noise levels reasonable, but wear is poor and breaks traction quite easily in the wet (550 Nm doesn't help). Overall, would buy again (esp. if RFT is desired).

Given 73% while driving a BMW 320i (255/30 R19) on mostly town for 7,000 average miles
Dry grip is very good, but wet grip tends to be be less and make you feel less confident about it. Nonetheless a good tyre overall and comfort is way about the bridgestone potenza RE050 that came stock with the car. If i am looking for run flats I would definitely buy these over the RE050. Wear wise I can't comment cos only ran 9000km plus but they still look good to me.

Given 71% while driving a BMW E91 325i (255/40 R17 W) on mostly motorways for 6,000 easy going miles
Positive: they wear evenly as compared to other run flat tyres I used (Michelin Pilot Primacy ZP, Continental Sport Contact 2 SSR), thus generating less noise due to the irregular wear. The grip on dry and wet is excellent, the braking distance is short. They are also slightly cheaper ("only" Euro 200 each before installation).
Negative: they are hard as other run flat tyres. I check tyre pressure once each month, but they still wear out fast. After 6000km easy going driving on mostly highways, half of the tyre depth is gone. The tyres may last around 12000km in total, which are expensive for the price.
At this tyre size, there are not many run flat tyre choices. At least these tyres have much newer technology and have better reviews compared to others (Bridgestone RE050A run flat and Continental sport contact 2 SSR). Sometimes I am thinking of replacing them with normal tyres, but it doesn't seem safe and interesting to use either spare wheels or tyre sealant on the highway shoulder especially in dark. So probably I will stay with these tyres.
