I first bought Uniroyal’s after reading reviews on this site and I haven’t been disappointed. There was a massive improvement when Rain Experts were fitted to the front of my old Mondeo, replacing Pirelli P6000s which were under-steering badly in cold winter weather. My son’s Polo now has a full set of Rain Experts and it feels very sure footed on wet roads. The previous Chinese budget tyres (on when we bought the car) were atrocious.
MY BMW 330d touring (estate) stuck to the road quite well on the supplied Pirelli P 6000s but suffered quite badly from steering wander/tramlining. A pair of Rain Sport 2 tyres fitted to the front made a dramatic improvement to the steering and also a noticeable improvement to the ride comfort.
As it’s not possible to safely drive a car like this, close to the tyre limit, on a public road I can’t comment on high end performance but with my previous experience of Uniroyal’s I feel safer and expect them to last reasonably well. I’ll report back if there are any major problems.
A lot of tyre shops don’t stock Uniroyal’s but most can get them if asked.

Great grip in the wet almost imposible to get out of shape fairly quiet to will be buying again

I switched from Continentals to uniroyal rainsport 2, principally because the Continentals caused a twitch when crossing any white lines. Initially, I thought I had made a great decision. The grip in the wet and the dry was much improved. However, after a while the rear tyres became extremely noisy at any speed below 60-70 mph, so much so that several different people asked me if I had a bearing wearing out! My local garage (V trustworthy)told me that it was the tyre and he had had a lot of people with he same problem on Mondeos and Vectras with these tyres. Also, front pair have lasted less than 11,000 miles. Most of my driving is country roads to work and I drive sensibly.I like the ride the tyre gives, but they are honestly not worth it.

Wet grip is excellent, which is very useful considering the British weather. The original continental 2 tyres use to suffer from particularly bad tram lining, but thankfully the Uniroyals do not seem to exhibit this particular trait at all. Although I fitted ‘extra load’ tyres, the Uniroyals seem to be a little more vague than original Continental 2 tyres on first turn in to corners (when driving quickly), although once under load, grip seems to be comparable. Overall a good safe tyre, but maybe not the best choice for a sporty setup.

Fitted a pair to the front of my fait Uylsse now done 15,000 mls still 4mm tread left.For those that don,t know its a 6 seater large mpv. Found these tyres to grip well going around roundabouts enthusiasticly even in the wet with very little disernable drift,unlike the previous tyres on the same roundabouts that would drift 4 to 5 foot off line, outstanding brakeing in an emergency. Guy in audi A6 mouthed thanks through his side window. All my 5 passengers had seat belt marks for days. Bought a pair for my wifes car as well.

Only been on a couple of hundred miles found they needed an extra 2 or 3 psi more than the owners manual suggest otherwise it felt like the tyre was flexing in corners. Wet grip is good but the inside wheel seems to lose grip powering out of a corner. This could actually be a good thing as it warns that the limit is being approached, the outside wheel seems locked to the road so steering isn't affected

On my second set of Rainsport 2s, I have to say I am delighted with their performance in the wet and dry. Prior to the Rainsports, the car had Michelin Premacy's, the original set lasting longer than the replacement Premacys.

My motoring is fast A roads, dual carriageways and motorways, with a handful of country roads thrown in, and the Rainsports are a delight. Surefooted and predicatable, and great value for money.

Running a car with 310 lbsft of torque I need a decent tyre to put the power down. Ive pushed them to the limit in wet and dry and the grip is amazing.
If you need confidence in the wet these are the tyres for you.
Only downside I found though was the soft side walls which took a bit of getting used to .
A great tyre which I would buy again and again.

I have bought the RTT2 tyre, the Rainsport 1 and Rainsport 2. I placed them on my BMW 325 E30 and on my E36 and now on my Peugeot.
I simply would NEVER EVER buy another tyre then Uniroyal.
The RS1 lasted 95000km on my BMW and STILL good. I would drive how I pleased in the rain and always had a great grip!
This is the best tyre ever, and would never give more money for another brand like Michelin, Continental or Pirelli etc...
They are too expensive and just rubbish!!!

Well had four new rain sports 2 tires for roughly 2 years on my golf gti 150bhp car, I've done 10680k on them, the two back tires almost look new with hardly any wear, which a bit confusing why this is? But the fronts don't have much life left in them maybe 11k? I do agree with some of the comments tires/steering do feel a little boaty, and the tires are a little noisy, my exeperience in snow was bad but then my tracking was not correct and car could not grip, which are my only negatives. The positives are the grip in wet inspires confidence to drive fast or cruise at speed, in the dry tires are good to. My driving style is racer boy ish Michael schmacker style acelerating hard an fast around corners, quick starts from traffic lights to 30mph with good grip by the law of course lol bearing in mind my car is fwd drive car, so the tires have coped well with me and I will replace the front two most probabely with rain sport 2's again as I do not want to spend £146 Each on a good year or mitchiln I think the rain sports are value for money roughly £76 each tire considering the performance you get.

After a back breaking few months on Bridgestone potenzas RE050A(run flats)on my BMW 330d, I changed over to Rainsport 2 after one of my rear runflats got punctured. I did check with my insurance AVIVA and there was no problem as long as the sizes were as for the stock car. Immediately there was a massive improvement in comfort on the rainsports and nearly 8 months later, they are still very comfortable with less road noise. Road feedback was probably 20% down from the potenzas when new, but after a few weeks the feedback improved to an extent, still about 10% down compared to the potenzas. Grip in dry is as good as the potenzas, and clearly better in the wet, able to carry faster speeds through curving roads in the wet. They seem to be wearing well, but time will tell. Overall, very satisfied with purchase, used one of the online companies who fitted the tyres at home, good experience overall. Thinking of getting 4 new ones for my partner's ford focus if I can get a good deal on the net again.

Replaced two hankook k115's(which i rate quite highly)with these uniroyals and i can only echo the opinion of a previous reviewer. The combination of a deep,soft and narrow tread,along with what seems like a weak(compared to the hankooks)side wall results in a very nervous tyre,certainly when it's fitted to the rear of the car. They do perform well in wet conditions but they are far to compromised in the dry for me to recommend.
