I mounted these tyres on a Honda Accord 2.4, to replace a set of Bridgestones that were probably the original mount. I immediately noticed an increase in road noise which is the main reason I now wan to replace them.

England is a rainy country and I drive between 10 and 15 K/year on mostly motorways and some country roads,including regular holiday trips to France both in very cold weather and very hot weather. I specifically wanted good tyres for the rainy English weather and on that front, the RainSport 2 have delivered beoynd expectations. They are fabulous in those conditions. Mini-ponds are simply not felt at all, you see them, instinctively grip the steering wheel that little bit harder, and... nothing happens at all. Perfect.

On the dry they are good, decent tyres that feel safe enough.

I do not rate their feedback highly. They feel soft and compared to the Bridgestones I had before them more input is needed on the steering wheel to go straight, they are "vague". In a bend the car doe not feel "on rails" as it did with the previous tyres, and I'm talking about dry conditions here. This is despite Kwik Fit having upgraded me to reinforced sidewalls because they did not have exactly the model I had ordered in stock (I got 94 when I had ordered 91).

I also have to mention that one of them broke with a loud bang, quite strangely, several seconds AFTER driving over a pothole (I live in one of the worst roads for potholes in an outrageously expensive London borough, and wonder what they do with the record breaking council tax they take, because the only other road this bad that I know is in the French Alps, and it REALLY gets cold there at 4000 to 5000 feet. But London??? The tyre did not blow up completely but had a huge bulge in its "reinforced" sidewall and was beyond repair. It was almost new and immediately replaced with the same. I was surprised and disappointed that it died so easily. The pothole was vicious but not the worst I've seen by far.

I have driven approximately 28 K miles on these tyres over 2 years. The front pair are close to the legal limit and will be replaced this week, the rear pair still have a lot of life in them. My car is a front wheel drive with 190 BHP, and I drive it reasonably with the occasional bit of pleasant acceleration which I enjoy, but while always keeping an eye on fuel consumption.

I want more feel and less noise! I have ordered a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport 3 which I'll have in a couple of days. When the rear pair reaches the end of its legal existence I'll also witch that to the Michelin, based on reviews and past experience with other Michelins (and provided that the front pair lives up to their reputation).

The Uniroyal have made me feel safe, but they're not quite good enough, and noise has always been too much... yes it also depends on road surface, they are much more silent on the smoothest French motorways but on many stretches of UK motorways they are a nightmare. Not everywhere, but it happens in too many places. So I cannot recommend them, especially at their fairly high price point, and I hope I am happier with the Michelins.

to soft sidewall! it's good in the rain but many other tyres perform the same!

Great value, impressive wet grip and comfort from a fairly low profile tyre.

Not sporty in any way. Soft thin sidewalls give very vague steering feel and much movement from direction change or heavy braking.

Certainly not an eagle f1 or pilot sport. But a good alround normal driving tyre.

Superb value so long as you dont want sporty tyres with good steering feel.

On a wet road , it has simply saved my live . Thank you uniroyal for bringing me home under the worst weather conditions ! It is a rain- tyre , that's for sure !

I replaced the old Rain Experts with these, and the difference is enormous. I liked the Experts, except for the rate of wear, and I was dubious about buying these. My worries were ill-founded. These are lasting much, much longer, give the same (or better) levels of grip, and so far I have had not worries or concerns regarding their abilities.
I am NOT a fast or hard driver, but the Experts I found wanting in how long they lasted. The Sports are in a different league.

I would recommend this tyre for everybody who often drive in wet conditions.
I had a very good experience with those tires absolutely not sliding the car in turns .
Compare with the previous Japanese Toyo I had much better experience in dry and wet road conditions.Uniroyal Rainsport2 is highly recommended !

I only by these now since starting to use them 4 years ago. Ive put 90k on the car and I'm on my 4th set. I used them to replace runflats on a 330D making the ride more comfortable and the tyres seem to wear more evenly.
I swap them front to rear once during their life at around 12000miles and this evens the wear allowing replacement of all 4 at once. they are always grippy in dry conditions, even when well worn but tend to be less so in the wet at this stage in their life, but still good. Very safe reliable tyre. Ive had several punctures but the 'puncture' monitoring system gives early warning, so I've never been stuck. I also carry cans of foam repair,a roadside repair kit (recommended)and a battery compressor. Does the job.

Loved the 1 series of this tyre. hate this second version. less wide thread, the sitted poorly in my rims, making the wall, look like its a thin tyre. Spongy on corners, and my car is like a go kart. lack of confidance in them, and regret my decision. uniroyal should have maintained the rainsport 1, and avoided this horrible 2. hate it. avery time I look at them, and ride my car, more slow in corners. does not feel safe with the soft walls...

Dry grip is good, wet grip is great. They are very soft, i.e. side wall is soft, which means the car leans in turns quite a bit - either get used to it or, as I found out, over-inflating them by around 15% does them no harm even in a long run, but stiffens them and improves handling and feedback. They're rather quiet, and when over-inflated, give good feedback and steer quite precisely. One unfortunate thing about them is they wear quite quickly and the wear rate depends hugely on the axle weight - they lasted only about 11000 miles on the front in my Vectra (diesel, so it's quite heavy AND torquey there). On the rear it's a different story however: they've been there for 29000 miles and still had around 4mm tread - I had to replace them because of "saw-toothing" caused by the rear being out of alignment. All in all, a decent tyre and good for the price.

just perfect tyres , using only rain sport 2 , highly recomended.
