Got these to replace a set of worn out Michelin Primary HP tyres on the Ford Focus.
Firstly you need to understand that a couple of years previously i'd had the standard suspension upgraded by swapping it out for Bilstien B12 Gas shocks with matching Eibach springs, due to rubbish A & B roads causing suspension damage, After which I had the whole set up laser aligned by the tuning company that fitted the suspension.

Anyways , following this , the better handling from this swap led to a downside.The tyre noise transmitting through the body from the Michelin's on all road surfaces increased considerably.When it came time to change, i got a set of 4 x Sportrac 5's all round.Firstly the road noise reduced noticeably.It was still there, but not as bad.
Handling: - At first I though I'd made a huge mistake. The handling seemed sloppy and the car seemed wayward.However I persevered and as the tyres scrubbed in over the next few thousand miles, the grip level has kept on increasing.

12000 mile later and they are now gripping really well in both wet and dry conditions, almost like a premium sports tyre. The wear rate also seems very good.

Knowing what i know now.I will definitely put them on again , when it becomes time to replace them, and put up with scrubbing the next set in as well.

Many told me that Vredestein Sportrac 5 tyre is not worth looking at, but they were wrong.
Rubber is excellent on wet roads (60% of my mileage was on wet roads so far since rain if falling 3 weeks now), on dry road is OK.
Braking distance is exemplary, both in dry and wet. Since I do not have sport car, I cannot give feedback for track, but sure can say that this tyre has better performance on my car than Continental PremiumContact which I have previously for 3 years.
Wear seems very good.

Recommended for passenger car.

Not a sports tyre. Poor grip on any surface. Esp work overtime on slow corners. Awfull on track.Very, very disapponting...

Given 97% while driving a Fiat Linea MJD (195/65 R16 V) on mostly town for 25,000 average miles
Have done 41K on these tyres in North India. Over 50% of the treed still remains, easily looks like will go 40 K more.... superb handling, braking and comfort. Except to occasional punctures no problems at all...great tyres...

Very bad tyres for a sport car , sidewalls are so so so soft , tyres are pumping, grip is rather good but you lose all driving precision, very very poor sensations. I hate these tyres

Given 65% while driving a Honda CIVIC 1.6 VTEC (165/65 R15) on mostly motorways for 10,000 spirited miles
The tire is very good except for 2 things
1. noisy compared to Bridgestone GR90, or Goodyear Excellence
2. Very Very low fuel economy. When changed to tires to Sportrac 5, I clearly noticed the car does not accelerate as normal, I thought that the tyre pressure is low.

Very poor. I looked hard for some tires to fit the small size wheels of the MR2, these seemed to get good reviews for some reason! As soon as I had them on the car, I wanted them off.

The car instantly lost steering feel, however the biggest problem has been the softness of the tires. The car rolls massively on these tires. The more I drove with the more I became unhappy with them. Grip wise they are very poor, especially in the wet. Front end grip has dropped significantly, before I couldn't get the car to understeer in the dry, however the sportracs made that possible sadly.

Really rather terrible as a sport tire. Totally ruined the car in every area.

These cars are very good on a tourism car , but absolutely not adapted for sporty cars, sidewalls are too soft , Over-inflating them doesn't resulu the problem, even if it's much more better (2.0 /2.4 for me)
Grip is excellent on dry or wet roads, but the feedback is very poor, car is floating on its tyres and their behaviour isen't precise enought.

Excellent tyre even for roads with 10cm melting snow. I am very pleased i wearing it in two different cars. Very good in plenty water. Yes it is a little uncomfortable because the stiffer wallsides but thats the reason i bought them. I'm waiting to pass a hot summer over them, it is the absolute test for the tyres, for the final opinion.
