Good basic tyre, not exciting but a solid performer

Definitely worths a try. I had not many choices for my Ka with original wheels. I only got these just so I wouldn't be stuck if it snows. I was pretty happy with it, very slow wear, very cheap to buy, worked good on light to moderate snowing with very minor icing here and there in town. Definitely very good with even the heaviest rain. It's loud, but given it's a Ka, not much of a deal. Comfort were mostly okay.

First things first: this is a cheap tyre. For about 150 euros/set, they were a bang for the buck. About performance: this is a good winter tyre, good grip on dry as well as braking, VERY good grip in snow (i was driving with confidence with the kittle Ka with over 70 km/h on a road covered with 5 cm of fresh snow with no problems at all) braking distance was decent. In fact, i can easily compare them with the Continental Contiwintercontact TS850 regarding driving in snow.
Now for the downsides: braking in wet conditions is horrible, you need to take a good distance from the front car if you don't want to crash in case of emergency. So goes with acceleration, the little 70 hp car will spin and spin and so on. Cornering is quite ok to say.. in wet conditions. I don't say it's a dangerous tyre, but caution must be exercised if it's raining. They are not noisy if it is cold outside, but if temperatures will reach about 10 deg C and above, they will make a lot of noise (the car has a poor sound dampening). I cannot comment too much about wear taking in consideration the fact that they were driven about 4000 km. I can say that in this time, with careful driving and managing they lost about 1.2 mm on front and about 0.5 on the back. I can say that this is not a strong point of them if you're planning to go lots of miles. For me it is ok, they will go for about 4, maybe 5 seasons.

Have about 3000 km with these tyres, and they're pretty good all rounder winter tyres, especially for their price.
Grip in dry is average, nothing special.
Grip in snow is fenomenal, I couldn't believe that they are cheap winter tyres. Very good traction, braking cornering, control. The ride was marked with confidece at say.. 80-90 km/h in 5 cm of new snow. In deep snow, got traction to the point when it almost reached the hood. No occasion to test them on black ice.
Grip in wet conditions - terrible. Bad traction, they will lose grip very fast, very bad braking, almost as going in snow. Although they won't lose grip during corners, this is a big minus.
Road feedback ok, not too noisy, soft sidewall resulting in a pretty comfortable ride.
A best bang for the buck from my perspective and I would recommend them any time, to anyone looking for a budget tyre. The car being driven mainly in town, a premium tyre was not necessary at all.

I have fitted these to my son`s Ka replacing Uniroyals that had lasted and lasted until sidewalls were cracking. Put Nexen on as had been using this make on my Focus ST to great effect. Given the last few months of heavy rain the grip from these tyres has been outstanding. Several months on there is no noticeable wear and the car is a pleasure to drive.

A very good tyre for the money, big improvement in drive quality compared to my old tyres.
In my view these tyres made an awful car to drive a bit more enjoyable, upon driving 500-1000 miles a week on a full set of these tyres improved the cars handling especially at higher motorway speeds and a massive improvement in my fuel consumption and a very good performance on both wet and dry roads to the point that I was able to stop so quickly that the car behind me unfortunately hit my car. To cut a long story short I would recommend these tyres to a friend and would purchase again no question :)

Good Tyre if your on a budget, they have worn well which most budgets don't (after about 10,000, still got good most of their tread). The grip is also quite good in the wet, id know breaking heavy on wet & muddy country roads without any ABS and the fact that my tyres are quite narrow. My only query is that iv noticed the tyre walls are quite soft and flexible when doing the pressures, but this hasn't really changed the steering feedback. A good all-round tyre for a small car.

Tried many tyres on the KA, these replaced some budgets. The dry grip is as good as the budgets, the wet grip is out of this world! So much grip in the wet, good comfort. Very happy.

Absolutely terrible tyres. Kwik Fit offer these at around £60 per tyre.

An interesting tyre. Replaced a mix of Toyo 350 and Contis. More than enough dry grip, more comfortable than the Toyo and as quiet as the Conti. Seem to be wearing very well too.

Wet grip is variable. On normal wet roads they're good, and braking seems to be excellent (for a budget tyre) on any road, however they seem to suffer on the warm greasy roads we're getting in the UK at the moment due to a wet summer. I'm not sure if it's the tyres or the roads, but sometimes they'll randomly understeer.

For the price I'm pretty sure they're better than any other budget tyre and a lot of so called mid range tyres.

I bought these tyres after reading these reviews, I can gladly say all the good things people have been saying about them is absolutely true. They're the best tyres I've had. Ford Kas are known as little Go-Karts, and these tyres make that sensation even better, it really does just go where you point it. I have to really make an effort to get them to lose grip in the dry on corners, I can accelerate through corners with only very minimal, completely expected and controllable under-steer. They're very confidence inspiring. My car has no ABS and my previous tyres had a limit where I could "overload" the tyres with the brakes and slide, so when I had these fitted, I did a similar test to see where these tyres' limit is. It's beyond that of my brakes, In warm dry weather, I literally cannot press the brake pedal hard enough to make them lose grip and slide, with new Mintex pads and discs, too. In the wet, they behave almost exactly the same as they do in the dry, not like some tyres that completely change their characteristics as soon as it gets wet. The grip is obviously slightly less in the wet, but they really do grip well even in heavy rain. If you do manage to loose traction on a corner, the feedback is great and the tyres regain traction almost immediately.

These are quite hard to get hold of now and dealers offered me "similar" tyres such as some "evergreen" crap. I'm so glad I stuck it out and hunted these down.

They look awesome too, with the really agressive tread pattern. They look better in real life than in pictures, too.

Road noise is a little higher than my previous tyres, but not excessively loud.

As for comfort, I've got low profile versions of these, so can't expect a smooth quiet ride anyway, but they're comfortable in the way that you know you can trust the rubber you're sat on to stop you if you need to and to keep your car under control if you corner a bit too fast...

In all, they're thoroughly recommended.
