Writing about the Triangle TR968 given 34% (225-45-17-)
Driving on mostly town for 4000 easy going miles
I bought my Mercedes SL500 with these already fitted. Absolutely lethal in the wet with no grip whatsoever. I will be changing as soon as I have the cash.

These tyres are just the best in all respects.

Just plain rubbish

Had on a merc SL - The back end was dreadful - wear was horrendous. fronts randomly wore to steel ribbing which I have never had on any tyres before and none since.

I don't get why these tyres are rated so highly

Driving on mostly country roads for 35000 average miles
Overall a good tyre, that withstand very hot road temperatures and good on wet performance, but very noisy. 45000km done and the tyres are baked due to the desert temperature 50c, still lots of tread .

Driving on mostly motorways for 30000 average miles
I had this tyre on my SL500 and while they looked pretty they gradually wore badly and pulled to the left. No amount of alignment resolved it.
The tread was fine over most of the tyre by small areas near the inside edge were stripped to the canvas.
They were quite noisy even on smooth new motorway.
I am much happier running the Eagle F1 Asymetric 2 now.

Driving on mostly country roads for 60 average miles
I fitted new Goodyear Eagle F1 As 2 to my car today and drove 60 miles on a mixture of wet and dry roads, dual carriageway and country lanes. First impressions are very good. The tyres felt sure-footed, were quiet and steering felt positive. I will report again after a few thousand miles.
