The Best All Season Tyres for 2024
3rd of 7 tyres
  • Best in dry with shortest braking distance and fastest lap time, very good in wet, best aquaplaning resistance on test, very good in snow traction and snow handling, best ice traction, low noise.
  • Slightly extended snow braking, highest wear resulting in lowest overall value.
  • The Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 would have been the test winner if I hadn't tested wear, and honestly, was my favorite tyre to drive on. It was the best in the dry, one of the best in the wet, very good around snow handling and its rolling resistance was plenty good enough too. The fact it has high wear might not be an issue for some, plus it's not much higher cost per 1000km than the Michelin, but if wear is important to you, then this is not the tyre to buy. Certainly the most summer feeling of all season tyre which will be appealing to some.

Top 3 Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 Reviews

Given 87% while driving a Lancia Delta 1.4 Multiair (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 6,000 average miles
I’m going to leave this mini-review here, even though I haven’t tested them in the fall/winter. They have been on the car for about 4 months and 6000 kilometers.

These are absolutely incredible tyres, especially considering the fact that they are all season. Dry and wet grip is really good, braking is safe and the handling is really nice.
I think they were the best decision for this car in the family and if they behave good in the winter, be it on snow or at low temperatures, I’ll get them for the other car in the family.

Been looking for more reviews for them in that aspect and I haven’t seen many, that’s why I decided to leave my (short) experience here.
Also, the wear is really good so far. I believe that if they last for 30.000 kilometers or three years, it would be a good deal.
Really safe and nice tyres overall.
Will be back in the spring with the experience after driving them in the fall & winter.

Given 93% while driving a Volkswagen Golf (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 8,000 average miles
For an all season tyre this thing is fantastic, it reminds me of the original crossclimate as it's really good in the dry and wet. The snow grip was more than enough, not tested it on ice.

Really happy with the purchase, wear doesn't even look as bad as some of the tests would have you believe.

Given 58% while driving a Volkswagen Golf 8, 1.5 TSI (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 100 average miles
This review is not focused on the performance of the tire, but rather serves as a caution for those considering this tire due to potential manufacturing issues.

Here's what happened: I purchased four tires that exhibited significant vibration problems. It’s unclear whether this was due to issues in production or storage. After having the tires mounted and balanced at a garage, I noticed my car vibrating at highway speeds, so I returned to the garage for further inspection.
The garage rebalanced the tires and discovered that they were not perfectly round, which was visibly noticeable. When the tires were rotated on the balancing equipment, the surface was uneven, with varying heights from the inside to the outside.

All four tires had this issue, ranging from minor to severe.

I contacted the online shop where I purchased the tires to arrange a replacement or return, but it has turned into a long and frustrating process. It’s been a waste of time! If you are considering buying these tires, I strongly recommend consulting a local tire expert and avoiding the complications that come with ordering and mounting them through different parties.

I trust TYRE REVIEWS, which is my favourite auto-related website as a petrolhead. I genuinely believe that the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 offers top performance in its class. However, this experience has been so disappointing that I will never, ever consider purchasing Pirelli tires again.

For reference, these tires were produced in Romania during the 14th week of 2024.
