Renault 5 Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Antares GRIP 20 given 63% (205-50-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 4 miles
I have these tires on Antares Grip 20 205/50/17 on my mazda for 4 years now. The only thing o dislike is, the car pulls to the right after swapping with all season. My alignment is ok and perfect. Nothing has been touch before the swap. The sHop foreman told me it was the tires causing the car to pull to the right. Othe than that it was good.

This tire was a huge disappointment for us. Fitted on our well maintained Mazda5 and we were hoping for year round usage that never worked well for us. The tire easily slipped when wet or cold under acceleration and braking. Snow use was out of the question (my son lost control 2 blocks from the house a got t-boned in the passenger door). This tire gave us the least amount of confidence in adverse weather (rain, snow, and ice) than anything short of a dedicated summer tire.

Driving on a combination of roads for 13000 average miles
Using this on a Mazda 5 CW MPV (approx 1.5Ton). Save your trouble on reading stories, i summarised this for you. -Dry handling good 8/10, -wet handling -8/10 Drive over huge puddles when the car about 90kmh on roads, repels water well, and pretty grippy, but it gets not so good after the tyre wears out. -roadfeedback - Good, can feel cracks and telling me if they are slipping or not. handling is pretty good, i can feel the feedback relatively well, side walls isnt too firm, so i feel abit of tyre wobble when i amd doing corners. (comparing to AD08r, i know, not the same category) Comfort wise, its is not very quiet, but i feels comparing to ps4, i think its quieter.. So i feel its pretty good. Wear- i have clocked about 20k km, my front is almost worn out, starting to look alternatives now... (gotta try something new)

Driving on a combination of roads for 12000 spirited miles
Very nice alround performer, very quiet and notice improved fuel consumption after I had these fitted. I had all 4 done as there was an offer and I was not happy with budgets my car came with from the last owner. Great dry handling pretty progressive, wet handling is also very good. Very safe loads of confidence in the wet grip and dry, never a scary moment. Despite my best efforts no wet aqua plane type incidents either. These are one of my favourite tyres, I did struggle with my size and load index for availability in 205 50 r 17 93 but that's this spec as it's not so common. Only slight negative for me was wear after 12000 the fronts diped below 3mm to about 2.5mm so just had a new pair! Rears on 5.5mm. Don't drive on less than 3mm especially going into autumn. They are slightly soft but they do give great ride, wet and dry handling good feedback. Very safe dependable tyre and also fuel efficient so slightly lower wear than a michelin or conti is the pay off. Would defo buy again for my other car. These were on my second family car but driven some spirited miles at speeds ups to 135mph.

surprisingly well balanced tyres, for an eco tyre an at this price range the performance is more than adequate for most everyday drivers.. grips well in both dry & wet. plus the added comfort in terms of quietness is just bliss..

Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 spirited miles
I have these tyres on my Mazda5 1,6D for 5000km for now. First impression is nice. Good soft ride, a bit soft sidewals comparing to Dunlop SportMaxxRT and Bridgestone Potenza RE050 which I have driven on my second Mazda6. Very good in rain for now and also in dry. UHP means ultra high performance but I would rather name them more sport touring tyres. For now very very satisfied. Even soo I have put another set on my Mazda6 in dimension 215-50-17. And interesting - both sets are made in Germany :) And bought in Slovenia :)

Driving on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
Had them for 3 winters. They were given as free winter tires when I bought my Mazda 5. Considering the bad winter conditions in Quebec, I can say these tires performed well. They are not noisy, and are good for snow, ice and rain. The only complaint is that they were very difficult to balance with my car wheels, so I would feel vibrations when driving.

Writing about the Hankook Ventus V12 evo k110 given 80% (205-50-17-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 33 average miles
Having done some extensive research and two sets of Dunlop 2050s(original fit), I plumped for these V12 Evo K110 Hankooks. I was immediately struck by the positive feel of them. They have been grippy and responsive both in the wet and the dry. The road feedback was in keeping with my sporty geared car and no worse than the original fit Dunlops. These have been driven on the dreadful condition UK side roads (inculding pernicious speed humps) and lots on motorway miles. I like to wear a whole set of tyres out at a time and my car model has history of 'eating' front tyres (torquey dieasel_. I swop them front to back every 10K miles, with wheel alignment check (always a provider with a "Hunter" alignment checker). I have managed 33K out of every set, including these - so bang on the money. Effect on fuel consumption is negligable for any set of tyres I have purchased for this car. Definately recommend these tyres. Good value for money. It is now time to change them and, only because they are cheaper and have good reviews, I will be going for Falken ZE915. I don't believe you'll be disappointed with the K110 Hankooks.

Good Tyre new for 2013. Great price one of the cheapest of the premium brands on the market when i purchased these. Great handling and holding in wet and dry also great EU performance figures.
Have these on my seven seater great grip stopping and pulling away.
