These were fitted to the front of my car when I bought it over a year ago. They are without doubt the worst tyres I have ever had. As soon as there is the slightest moisture on the road they lose grip, as though I'm driving on a lake of spilled diesel. At steady speed on a damp roundabout they break away without warning. Pulling out at damp juntions I make the 90 degree turn slowly and only put the power down once I'm straight again. I was waiting for them to wear before I changed them but now I realise that will never happen - they look untouched - goodness knows what they're made of. Over the years I've had all sorts of brands on my cars but these Autogrips are without doubt the worst - they're so bad that Trading Standards or some MOT-related Government department should ban them.

On car when purchased and should really get around to replacing. Appalling and dangerous in the wet. Only way to drive is cautiously and slowly and don't try stopping in a hurry. Even in the dry you can't drive the car "hard". never quite trust them. Why haven't I changed? They simply don't wear. All my other Golfs have chewed through front tyres in 12 months (usually use continentals). These have been on (front and back) for 18months and don't seem to have worn a millimeter! They do make you change your driving style for the sake of self preservation though!!

No problem with these tyres. So far so good and very good in tropical climate country such as Malaysia.

Be very wary of bland positive reviews.I put a pair of these on the rear of my S Type Jag diesel. In the dry they can feel a bit odd as they inconsistently grab ruts in the road or flex under cornering. In even slightly damp conditions grip becomes completely unpredicatable. The back wheels will try to spin up even under mild acceleration.
I am due to buy new fronts in the next few weeks. Autogrip will not be on my shopping list. I will not even rotate the tyres to the front as traction control gives me a chance at the moment. On the front these tyres might put me into a brick wall.

Appalling tyre. fitted to the car when i bought it I didn't realise quite how bad the tyres were until I had to slam on the brakes and slewed in to the wrong lane. Previously the rear end had let go when I was cornering at about 60/70mph when I would regularly drive that road at a steady 70.

Replaced them for the winter with smaller Pirelli winter tyres. The difference in grip was profound. Just re-fit the Auto"grip"s and they are as bad as I remember them. Car is all over the place in the rain. No grip whatsoever. They are still reasonably new and they drive as though they are still covered in releasing agent.

Basically, no matter what your budget is, do not buy these tyres. They are dangerous and it is simply not worth the risk.

Absolutely awful. No other way to describe them. Not had budget tyres before but won't have them again.

10 times worse than the nearly bald Continental's they replaced.

Only had them put on the front and dry grip is bad but wet grip is just dangerous. They were actually slipping on a damp road, at 25 miles an hour on a very shallow bend.

Even pulling away (I don't mean a racing start either) in the dry flicks on the traction control light. It's like a twinkling fairy light since I've had these on.

Seriously, don't buy these, or any budget tyre. It's not worth the risk.

I dont usually mind spending money on good rubber - but my dealer suggested these to me, he also has the same tyres fitted to his BMW. I had a pair of F107`s fitted to the rear of my BMW 525D - yes I was dubious to begin with - rearwheel drive, heavy car, loads of torque. Im impressed! They grip well! I have been in a position to try these in rain, snow, ice and on dry roads. In ALL cases I had no reason to complain. Now I dont drive like a racing driver nor do I drive like a Grandad. Yes I have a play around with the car to get a feel for new tyres once in a while and I have to say im well impressed. Cant comment on wear as I only had them fitted two weeks ago. But for grip and doing what they are supposed to do - im happy. They are comparable with higher priced tyres (I have Pirelli on the front and the Autogrips replaced Bridgestones). All in all a bargain!

Just put them on, half the price of the Pirelli P6000s that they replaced. No complaints, have driven in wet and dry and don't notice any difference from the Pirellis. The only way to check the difference between tyres is on the track- you will very, very seldom reach the limit on the road ( I raced single seaters for 10 years so I know what I'm talking about). Don't know about wear or whether I'd buy again as only covered 1000 miles so far.

Rubbish. Had them on the back of my ZT 135 when i bought it, the fronts were Bridgestone RE040. The difference between them was staggering. The rear end was dangerously loose, so i moved them to the front for more predictability. They just have no grip, always spinning, running wide. Cant use the torque of the diesel at all. Replaced very quickly with Bridgestones which transformed the car.

Autogrips were already on the car when i bought it, 8k in and they are at 5mm so wear is good but on country lanes keeping up with traffic in the wet can be quite sketchy, too cheap a tyre.

BAD TYRES, A SET OF FOUR COST`S ABOUT THE SAME PRICE AS ONE MICHELIN OR GOODYEAR (TOP RATED) SAY`S IT ALL REALY. MAY BE CHEAP BUT 5000 MILES ON FRONT AINT VALUE FOR MONEY IN MY BOOK AND IN THE WET ITS LIKE A SKID PAN TEST , FROST AND ICE IS LIKE DRIVING ON BALL BEARINGS NO GRIP AT ALL... HAVE PUT OTHER WHEELS ON WITH GOODYEAR NCT TYRES AND HAVE NOW GOT FULL GRIP IN DRY WET AND FROSTY CONDITIONS...........

A very good middle of the road tyre. About £100 cheaper than top of the shelf brand tyres but performs exactly the same. Very happy with this tyres price verses performance. I will buy another set when this set wears out.
