I came from a BFGoodrich G-Force Sport Comp-2 at 240 treadwear that lasted less than 38 000 kilometers (24,000 miles) so I wanted a sticky tire that could last a couple of years. The Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 Plus had a great balance between treadwear and performance. Wet traction was also a concern on my last tire.

They are excellent tires in the rain, virtually no difference in tire feel or grip between dry and wet condition during daily commute. Comfortable over rough roads and bumps too. Although it is a UHP A/S, its grip is comparable to a UHP summer tire.

In terms of feel, it is not comparable to a proper UHP summer tire. During high speed or high load curves, you can feel the sidewalls wobble a bit, which needs getting used to.

In the end, I'm being picky. They are really great tires.

It’s the perfect tire for my needs. I live in the Pacific Northwest, where it rains a lot and snows occasionally. I don’t need a dedicated snow tire, but the Continental DWS 06+ is an awesome all-around tire. I couldn’t fit two cars in one review, so I added another one just because why not? I bought another set for my wife’s Hyundai Elantra, but I wasn’t as happy with them. Her car has smaller wheels (205/55R16), which meant a thicker sidewall, which made the handling feel a bit squishy. I’m aware there are more factors that affect it besides a thicker sidewall. I know the Elantra isn’t as good or as fun to drive as my Audi S5, but it’s still an amazing all-around tire regardless of what vehicle it’s on.

Even better in the snow than the DWS06!

Bought these after reading some reviews from other Quadrifoglio owners saying that these were some of the best all-seasons that retained the dartiness and precision of the stock Pirellis. So far I would have to agree. I think the Pirellis were definitely a more focused and exciting tire, but not really by too much. But they only last 10k miles, front axle would judder at low speeds at full steering lock, in cold temps they were so stiff it was like driving on hockey pucks and felt like they weren't always gripping as they should.

These Continentals feel like they sacrifice maybe 15% of the sporty/direct feel of the Pirellis but make up for it in comfort, noise, and grip in colder temps. You can hustle around corners and mash the throttle and there's very little slip (if any) even in colder temps. And better yet, no more front axle judder. In general the car feels much smoother but can still play along with sporty driving pretty darn well. I'm still considering going for a more dedicated summer tire when the temps go up, but they are good enough to make me doubt whether that's worth it. Expect these will last much longer as well.

They're so refined, you don't know it's a performance tire until you push it or need it. Phenomenal in the wet vs hydroplaning.

I bit the bullet and made the jump from a life of budget and mid-range tires to a premium offering for the first time with these tires, and my initial impressions are great. Worth every cent, hands down.

When cruising around and taking it easy, the road noise of this tire is lower than I've experienced with any other tire I've run on two different cars. There certainly is some noise, but it's not loud and fades into the background. The tires also just ride quite smooth, I'm confident passengers would not know I have a performance oriented tire if I'm taking it easy.

Dry performance is impressive, especially with some very cold temperatures lately where I'm running these in Wisconsin. We had a day or two of -5F (-20C) temperatures, and these tires still grip well, launching well from a stop and inspiring confidence when being thrown through curves. Grip only goes up from here as temperatures rise, above freezing, I'm unable to kick in traction control when launching from a stop at all.

What really impressed me is that in wet conditions, and with light snow/slush on the road, the tires didn't seem to care. I hardly had to adjust my driving habits, and it was easy to tell if you started to approach the limit, but they still felt solid.

These tires did struggle a little bit with ice, but they were still significantly better than anything else I've run, and recovered from slides quickly. The slides were also very predictable.

Moving from some generic budget/mid-range tires to these, one thing I also noticed is that all my older ones started to feel less planted as you approach and exceed 100mph (160kph). These feel glued to the road even at these speeds, and I have even made an emergency swerve at this speed with zero hesitation, no loss of grip, and great precision. All in Mexico, and allegedly, of course.

If you make one modification to your car, and don't want to swap wheels for winter/summer, get yourself a set of tires like these. I don't feel like I'm making any compromises for any conditions, and the fact that Continental pulled that off amazes me.

There's tires handle very well in wet and dry conditions. When the D starts to go on the wear indicator these tires tend to spin a little bit from a stop. I originally got these tires for hydroplaning issues. These did great until after you get past the w wear indicator on the tire in wet weather. They still preform alright in the rain even when the w is gone, just can't be on throttle because you'll spin. Tires have been abused quite a bit on long mountain runs especially on corners. Have been my daily tires since 57k miles now have 91k. So I'd say these are worth it. Highway driving these tires are pretty quite.

I previously had a set of Michelin CrossClimate+ in 205/60R16 on this car and upgraded to 18x8s with these Contis. Overall, they're good! I do like them, they grip very well in most conditions I've experienced so far. I live in Georgia, USA, so we don't get much snow - cannot comment on snow grip. At cold but dry temperatures (12F, -8C) they stuck just fine to the roads. The handling balance has shifted from straight understeer to quite neutral, in fact on a rainy day I was able to get some lift-off oversteer, which I could not previously.

I had the CrossClimates on track, they were wholly unsuitable for it but still fun. I haven't taken the DWS06+s out on track yet, but I know I'd be able to extract more even out of this base model midsize sedan with them.

Purchased a new set of Continental DWS06+ back in May 2023, extremely confident during Canadian summer and fall for wet and dry conditions. During winter, I delayed switching them for my winter tires just want to test the snow conditions. I didn’t get a chance to test a heavy snow conditions but during winter weather (cold temperatures at -5 Celsius) and cold wet weather I have no complaints. The only surprise is, it’s now end of December and my tread wear is now at 8/32nd after only 8 months of driving (10,742kms), by no means I am pushing them, just occasion spirit driving in the back roads during summer. Now swapped a new set of Continental WinterContact SI plus, will write a review after this winter. Cheers!

The DWS06+ I’d buy again if in the market for a fun and sporty all-season tire. The wet performance is superb - confident handling with responsive braking. On our latest road trip we had a stretch of curvy motorways after rainfall and the car felt like with was suctioned to the surface. Even with a full acceleration from stop there is no spin or slip. Dry performance is enjoyable also, the grip on the road road can be felt right through the seat, it transfers well in cornering and is thrilling with on-ramps. In essence, whether it’s by throttle or wheel, what the car is commanded to do this tire follows the order (with a grin!).

The responsiveness and feedback is quite satisfactory, I can’t really say what it’s like as it’s the only tire I’ve driven (other than the Hankook icept evo3 winter tires). But when the tires are set to the manual-recommended pressures of 38F/32R, driving experience is truly enjoyable. Small imperfections and bumps in the road are soft and dull but you certainly know it, larger imperfections leave it on you but the tire takes the first edge off nicely. At -2psi, the ride is sluggish and cornering has soft feel, and at the max load pressures (41/38) the ride is uncomfortably harsh and vague.

When car was acquired the tires had 7mm tread height, and now after 10,000km driven the blocks are at 5mm (new is 7.8mm). Seems acceptable given a general low-risk driving style and never testing the limits of grip when my lady is in the car, but having the occasional fun drive on the country roads in Sport mode :)

Overall, very satisfied with the tire, and would definitely buy again.

Continental have yet to disappoint me

Very quiet and comfortable tire, seems to be wearing well but too early to give a score. They were very good in the snow over the winter however on very hard snow / ice they're a fair bit behind a full winter tire. Will buy again.

This OEM Tyre for my '18 Type R has sensational grip and response that take full advantage of the brilliant chassis. That said, they are a nail magnet, easily get out of alignment after a few potholes or bumps in the road, and while less than some alternatives are still dear. The ride and comfort level are quite good for a 30 sidewall, and they have not let me down in the rain. The good news? They are so rewarding to push hard you'll want to buy them again. The bad news? You will get to do that much sooner than you planned.

DWS06 + are very good on my Mazda 6 turbo except for rolling resistance. I have lost approximately 10% in fuel range and mpg. Previous generation DWS06 tires did not have this issue. This time I changed from Michelin Pilot Sport AS3's and noticed the mileage drop immediately after DWS06+ installation. Pressures have been confirmed as spec'd. Contacted Continental to enquire about this and did not get a response, as expected. Tires are great otherwise.

This is the first premium tire that I have purchased and as well worth it I had summer tires on prior to this winter 2021 and I decided to go ahead and purchase an all season ultra high performance tires since my car will get up there on the highway. Little road noise great handling good in the wet snow and slush great for Ohio weather ☁️. I still need to find out what these are like on a really hot day.
