I've never driven a BMW or any car with runflat tyres before, so much of this is guesswork.
The Continentals grip extremely well in the dry, no doubt about that and I never came close to the limit.
They also generally grip well in the wet, although I did have one problem where the car aquaplaned on a bend that I know well and wouldn't normally have expected it to happen.
Although I drive mostly motorway speeds, I've found tyre wear to be very good. I'm looking for replacements as one front tyre is on the limit at 34000 miles. I'd guess the rears (same tyres, but 255/40) are good for another 10k.
The big downside of these is the road noise. I find them very noisy, but how they compare to other runflats, I couldn't say.

Mercedes Benz (225/40 R19 W) on a combination of roads for 12,500 average miles
These came with the car new, and now at 20k (km), it is about 1.5mm or there about from the tread wear indicator - it's a bit of a surprise, i was expecting these the last to at least 35k. That is why i'm venturing here to research for the replacement.

Frankly i don't mind run flats at all. My previous car was a bmw 1 series, and with that car, each set of tyres last to 40k. Apart from its durability, I don't mind these tyres at all.

Great tyres, as long as your a millionaire and can replace them every few thousand miles, have them fitted on my BMW 335D and brand new these tyres are only 6.8mm tread! disgraceful!, they come as standard on BMW's so its a nice little deal there from conti and BMW, all they need to do is renew once at £200 corner and continental have made a huge mark up, it's a disgrace how tyre manufacturers are allowed to sell tyres brand new with such pitful tyre tread depth and mileage life

Given 76% while driving a Mercedes Benz C250 CDI Blutec (245/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
I got 12.5k out of the rear tyres fitted from the factory. Front tyres are over half way worn but still some left. Combination of comfort and sport mode, town and motorway driving. Great tyres but I wish they lasted longer cos for my wide wheels they cost a bomb! If I mash the throttle on a corner in the wet the back will step out but in the dry I cant get them to let go at all with 205bhp RWD - Mercedes C250 AMG Line.

Given 50% while driving a BMW BMW 435d X drive M Sport (225/40 R19 W) on mostly motorways for 13,000 easy going miles
These lasted 13,000 miles on my BMW 435d X drive on the front - changed at 1.9mm. Dry grip was decent. Wet grip okay but wet braking was terrible. As they wore out the grip declined. Making an emergency brake when it was down to 3mm felt a bit dangerous. Comfort was okay and road feedback good. A progressive tyre and decent handling. The wear rate was shocking though - especially in summer months! The more they wore the worse they became. I wouldn’t buy these again due to wear and lack of wet braking ability. Fuel economy was also poor. These are summer tyres though so forget about trying to use them in ice/snow. Most definitely not for any winter conditions - you need winter tyres for that if you are the type of person who leaves summer tyres on in the winter! For the same price bracket you can do way better! For example, the Goodyear RFT.

Got my car with these tyres on it and put 5,000 hard miles on them and they wore great and gripped well. There was 17,000 miles on them when I changed to a new pair the exact same and I could have got another thousand or two miles out of them but no point wearing them down to the last when I drive a F30 320D with a remap with loads of torque.

BMW (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 7,000 spirited miles
Good quality tyres. I found the wear rate to be excellent. Wet grip was a bit iffy for me. E90 BMW 320 would often lose grip on the back wheels in the wet with these tyres, sometimes suddenly. For me, the firmness of the ride was bordering on bone shattering. I replaced then with a set of Michelin and for that reason alone, I don't think I could ever go back to the Continentals.

Was a great tyre on my BMW 328. Grip and handling were amazing. I was not so happy with the wear though. They only gave me 2 years of short distance school runs. My run flat versions are also pretty noisy, and make some scary noises over the bumps. My curb side rims are also pretty scratched up, so any rim protection these tyres are supposed to have are not sufficient.

OEM fitment for mk3 A class with 1.5L 109 HP diesel engine.
It is a shame that german manufacturers fit Continental's from factory. These were not only bad like my Conti SC2's OEM fitted for my VW rocco, but much worse.
As I expected dry and wet grip was pretty good, but for only like 8000 miles. As the SC2's before, grip went downhill and at 27000 miles, and after 2 rotations, tyres were balding on the edges, despite having correct tyre pressure at all times. The worst was that after rotating the tyres, a very annoying noise emerged, because the rear right tyre was cupped all over and in the front axle all noise was transmitted to the cabin. Being runflats as the tire aged to 2 years old, comfort declined sharply. Fitted GY Assymetric 3's after enduring all this for some time. Never felt better

2005 BMW E90 325i originally had Bridgestones, terrible tram lining and very hard ride, changed to Conti SC 3, much better, and the Conti SC 5 are even better, the first run flats I have used that actually feel as if they have some measure of comfort, less rumble and fidgeting over any rough surface. Very pleased, new so cannot comment on wear. Tread depth 7mm measured from new.

just to let you know i've run goodyears nct5's on my 130i for most of its life as i've found the wear on these has been exceptional, last batch, i wasn't too pleased with and the NCT5 tyre technology is so old, so after many days and nights of research i switched my rear sets to the conti sport contacts ssr 5, and driven those tyres back to back... and I'm very impressed with the Dry and Wet linear acceleration and grip of these conti's. Obviously when you pull out of a minor road on to a major road to get up to speed if you floor it as your turning you will get some wheel spin as in all BMW rear drive cars, no matter what rubber you have. But i have found the conti's to be pretty comfortable, but a little nosiey above 50 MPH. I cant comment on wear as i haven't driven enough miles. Its -2.5 Degrees today and the tyre grip is still exceptional. The biggest thing i like about these tyres is the confidence in the wet going into a bend, which is great, as in england the roads are always damp in the mornings... :) There is a lot to be said about tyre technology and it has come on a lot since the original run flat tyres were released, this is evident in the compound and wet & dry grip on the conti's.

Given 97% while driving a BMW F31 320i (225/50 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 17 average miles
These tyres were standard fitment on my car from new. I've just replaced the rear tyres after 17,300 miles with 2mm of tread left. After looking at other run flat options I decided to replace the tyres like for like since I have been very pleased with the ride quality of these Continentals. In the past I owned an e90 and the ride with run flats was very jingly. However the ride quality of the f31 with these tyres is excellent and therefore I didn't want to run the risk of spoiling this by changing tyre brand. I have also found the car very stable with these tyres - in wet conditions, even at speed, the grip levels have always been excellent.
