2024 Motorhome Camper Van All Season Tyre Test
6th of 8 tyres
  • Impeccable, reliable, and balanced characteristics on snow. Good-natured properties in wet handling, stable in corners, and very amiable in handling on dry roads.
  • Inadequate aquaplaning prevention, somewhat longer braking distances on dry surfaces, quite sluggish steering response, and slightly unstable in rapid lane changing.
  • Balanced on snow – but with minor weaknesses.

2024 ADAC All Season Tyre Test
8th of 16 tyres
  • The Firestone Multiseason2 tyre receives an overall adequate rating for driving safety. It shows significant weaknesses on dry roads at high temperatures and narrowly misses good ratings on wet and winter roads.

On dry surfaces, the tyre offers only adequate steering feedback and lacks precision. The driver must make frequent corrections due to delayed steering response and inconsistent cornering. The test vehicle tends to oversteer early in dynamic maneuvers, resulting in an adequate rating for limit behavior. Braking distance is rated as satisfactory.

On wet roads, the Firestone barely misses a good overall rating. It scores well in braking and straight-line aquaplaning but only satisfactory in cornering aquaplaning and handling. The tyre struggles to combine longitudinal and lateral forces effectively, showing too much under- or oversteer for precise control.

In winter conditions, the Multiseason2 achieves a clearly satisfactory result. It performs well in snow and ice braking, satisfactorily in traction, but only adequately in handling. The test vehicle lacks precision in steering, with a narrow and low performance limit.

Environmentally, the Italian-made Firestone Multiseason2 receives a satisfactory rating. Both its projected mileage and wear are rated as satisfactory. However, it scores well in efficiency with low weight and fuel consumption.

Top 3 Firestone MultiSeason Gen 02 Reviews

Given 74% while driving a Volkswagen up! (185/55 R15) on a combination of roads for 7,000 average miles
Please avoid these tyres if you live anywhere where summer temperatures usually go above 30 degrees Celsius. They simply cannot cope with the heat and they are literally dangerous when breaking in hot conditions. Braking is so poor when hot and dry, it is simply hard to believe how bad it is. However, when it is cold, it is another story, definitely they feel lot more secure. Also in rain no troubles, whatsoever. They also feel secure in directional stability when driving at higher speeds. This winter there was no snow (or ice) at all here in Serbia, so I cannot comment on snow properties.

So far so good. 2000km in various conditions and no problem at all from -10c to 15c degrees. On snowy/icy roads superb performances without any problem. Not noisy at all until 120km, after that little noisy but nothing to bother. Can't wait to test them in summer conditions. If they are good in summer as in winter, then definitely best price/performance all season tire.
