Bought a full set of the NS2's for my C4 vts costing £168 from camskill, fitting and balance cost another £30.
20,000 miles and 18 months later I need another 2 for the front end. The rear are still like new.
Now, to be fair, I sometimes drive like a knob! Push my car to it's limits, why? because I can, and I can honestly say these tyres have never let me down. They stick like shit to the bowl in the dry, never lost traction once on me, unless forced to, and are hard to spin unless in the wet and that still took some doing, traction suffered slightly in heavy rain, but what tyre wouldn't? But light rain and damp roads offered no challenge and they did well, even when pushed.
Long distance drives are comfy, I regulaly do 500 mile round trips from Exeter to Bolton and back at around 80-90mph (M6 permitting).
Road noise? Can't hear it anyway, stereo's too loud, and anyone listening to the road noise needs to get a life, or better base.
Only drawback is slight uneven wear, edges worn more than centre as if underinflated, although I check 'em weekly and infalte with nitogen to 35psi or 2.5 bar for the geeks.
Overall you could do alot worse and waste your money on michelin, which was on the car when I bought it(Citoen factory standard)and where crap.
