I drive a taxi so trying to find a good tyre that will last on a budget is a priority for me.

Let me start by saying that this tyre should not be compared to premium tyres that are 3 times more expensive, however if you're on a budget and want a durable tyre with decent levels of grip for the normal driver these are perfect.

They are good in the dry, acceptable in the wet and predictable at the limit.

My fronts are now ready for replacement after 15,500miles of mixed driving, usually with passengers in a heavy FWD diesel car which is the highest I've got out of a front set so far (first time using this brand of tyre) the rears look completely unworn at 15,500 miles. Also to note, I have hit some very harsh potholes and these tyres have always held their pressure.

After a lot of hunting online I managed to get a set of 4 new 225/45/18 fitted with wheel alignment from tyre-shopper for £211! to me that is unheard of. If I was to go for a premium brand tyre that would be closer to £650.

I am replacing these with Nexen N'fera SU1's and will review them in 4-5 months when they wear out.

Had two of these tyres brand new on the rear of my car when i bought it. The two fronts were nearly on the limit so had another two put on the front so i had four matching, some of the best tyres ive ever had on any of my cars. Grip in the dry and wet is great. Will definitely buy them again. I paid £40 each fitted which is a bargain. Great tyres

Found myself in a financial tight spot and with a pressing need for 4 new tyres so decided that if I was going yo buy a budget tyre then I might as well buy a BUDGET tyre, so 4 new Rovelo RPX 988 tyres were fitted to my diesel Saab. I've done a couple of thousand miles on them and I am extremely happy with them. There is no appreciable reduction in performance that I can tell over the Firestone SZ90s that they are replacing, although its worth pointing out that this is the commute to work, its not Time Attack. So far, I'm pretty confident that I'll buy them again.

Bought these tyres as I had 2 illegal tyres and the other 2 were very close to the legal limit and I was short on money so got these fitted for around £250.00 inc balancing, tracking etc.

I was nervous about them, but for 'budget' tyres they hold the road well and even going through shallow standing water hold their own. I drive on country roads and dual carriageways to get to work and the grip is excellent. I like to open my car up on the dual carriageway and it has always responded well to being driven hard on the bendy country roads. I get a decent amount of feedback from the tyres and they absorb the shallow pot holes well, without feeling to hard.

Bottom Line, if your in pinch and need some cheap tyres to tide you over then you can't do worse than a set of these.

Bought full set for 220 pounds. Other priority makes are that much for one tyre. Had them on for only about 2K miles in various conditions in England and Wales so far - I am a very experienced and enthusiastic driver. MPG has improved from 29 to 34 average. Quieter and absorbing uneven/holed surfaces with greater comfort, but perhaps slightly less feedback. Grip is fine - I have no intention of attempting the lap record at the Nurburgring !

It was a risk - however I believe they are really good tyres for the money and I am very pleased with my decision. Definitely recommended.
