Latest Triangle EffeXSport Reviews

Given 89% while driving a Mercedes Benz CLS 350 (245/40 R19) on mostly country roads for 14 average miles
Excellent tyres for the money. The grip in the wet and dry is very good. My car is rwd so rears only lasted 14kms while the front lasted just below 40klms.

Given 81% while driving a MG ZS EV (215/55 R17) on a combination of roads for 13,000 spirited miles
Honestly I expected very little and got far more than I paid for. Sadly, I lost 3 of 4 tyres after some debris in the road damaged them beyond repair on a Friday evening; recovered to the nearest garage who could only offer these tyres off the shelf or wait until Monday, which wasn't an option when I was 200 miles from home. Being a B/B rated tyre gave a little more confidence. I went for the full four for the sake of simplicity and ensuring even wear. Having been fitted for 6 months and 13k miles, the overall view is that they exceeded expectations; dry grip is as good as the OEM Kumho that came on the car from new, wet grip is very close but feels slightly more numb than before, tread life is about the same, road noise is slightly more BUT by just a hair, and ride comfort is pretty much on par. Fuel/energy economy doesn't appear to have been affected either, despite them being fitted to an EV which are generally very sensitive to rolling resistance. Factor in the cost of around 15% less per tyre than the Kumho that were replaced, I see this as a positive so far. I'm never a huge fan of budget tyres, as I see that the value of safety is higher than the value to my wallet, but in this case I had little choice, but the gamble paid off.

Given 87% while driving a BMW 420d M Sport X Drive (225/40 R19) on a combination of roads for 14,000 average miles
Looking for an alternative tyre to replace run flats on my BMW 4 series. Did some research and liked the sound of the effex sport TH202, coupled with Triangles commitment to the American market. Fitted 4 new tyres in April 2023 and I have found them to be excellent for grip in the dry and the wet unless you are pushing them hard, when you will suffer a small margin of understeer. They made a hugely noticeable difference in terms of ride comfort and noise from Bridgestone run flats which I was very pleased about. The only downside for me is the longevity of the fronts. I’m having to replace them (Aug 2024), having covered 14000 miles in 15 months. Having said that, the rears are still going strong and probably good for another 8-10000 miles and if you compare the cost, (I paid £340 fitted, for 4 Triangle tyres), with that of the major brands, it makes perfect sense. I would definitely buy again, unfortunately out of stock and can’t find them anywhere so have to resort to paying through the nose for a major brand.
