I switched to Yokohama S Drives from Goodyear Efficient Grips. At 1st I was not a fan of the switch as the inside tyre started to wash out fairly quickly at low speeds (in comparison to the Goodyear).
Now the tyres have done a 1000 miles or so they feel better, appear to grip better & I am used to the way they drive. Feedback is good and progressive, wet & dry grip is good enough to be confident in 'throwing' the car around.
I cannot comment on longevity yet as I have not had them long, will update as they start to go.
Very good value for money, good grip, good ride & decent tyres.

bought these about a year ago and done about 15000km.
the Car is a 2liter 150hp with stiff coilover.
at First i was more than happy by treir performans in β roads although their feedback was poor.when NEW they were good enough in the wet too.after almost 4 months things changed dramatically!the progressiveness hmmm...what progressiveness?!they need mach warming up and then after a while they are too soapy!no traction at all.the fist drops of rain made me really scared, especiallh since i have the abs disabled, so i am going to give a try in unis rainsport 3.

these tyres came on my suzuki swift sport. think goodyear eagles were standard but decided to change to these. been using them for 3 years now and can report i am very happy with them. good in dry and wet. cannot report on snow and ice as i switch to winter tyres in the winter

Before the S Drive ,I was using the Goodyear eagle F1 which I skid and nearly got major damages to the car .i was only doing 40km/hr on a turn

The S drive on the other hand was very assured and I felt safe . Both the dry N wet grip was good .The best part was that did change tyres recently ..only after 2.5years . And I'm in a sales position , I had to drive up and down and had considerable mileage . The tires did last a long while .

The cons would be a slight noise .not too much .

I would consider getting a Sdrive again ,given its Longevity . It maybe pricier as compared to many other models ..but hey it did last me a long time while giving good grip till the end of its days .

Good grip in the dry and wet, but very noisy at any speed and very harsh ride in all conditions. Tyre wear is quick and probably will not last 30,000 km.y

Now is the second year that I'm wearing them.(about 50000khm)Wet driving is very in-confident.Very expensive tire so I'll try finding something cheaper

Used 3 sets of S drive and each lasted more than 50,000 KM (per set) with hard acceleration.

put these on my leon cupra with a new set off 17" alloys and worn out with in 10 months will not buy again

Overall a great hard wearing tyre, like glue in the dry but in the wet when pushed they feel like they might let go at any point, my opinion my be slightly biased as I purchased s-drives purely down to not being able to get uniroyals in my size and as those are "the rain tyre" I had every confidence pushing the car almost as much as in the dry

I would however definatly buy yokohama again if I came across the same uniroyal problem...

I bought the S.Drive new and put them on my Golf GTI. They go around corners nicely as the sidewalls are very stiff. The Michelin Pilot Sports that replaced them are much softer. Grip during hard acceleration on a wet road is not great, but once it gets going it is fine, and it does not aquaplane at all. Dry grip is excellent. It is quieter than the CSC that came with the car but slightly noisier than the Michelin Pilot Sports. I would rate this tyre as being more sporty than the Michelins.

In spite of other opinions, I like my new S Drives. I had a set before but the new ones obviously have a different carcass than the old ones. One of the things I like about them is that even though ultimate grip may be sacrificed a bit, the breakaway is so progressive that it's easy to tease the limit. My car is properly lowered using good stuff and carefully researched alignment specs. I drive very aggressively and keep my rear sway bar in the full stiff setting so I hang the tail out a lot. The last set lasted three seasons of brutality.

There's a bit more tyre roar compared to stock csc3 in w212.Highly recommended for those looking for a superb dry and wet grip.
