Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 spirited miles
You can't compare these tyres with an A brand like Conti or Michelin.
For a low budget these Vikings are the best winter tyres I have driven.
Excellent comfort, and wet grip.
Road feedback and handling are nowhere near the A brand tyres, but not as bad as I make it sound.
Wear is good.

Only thing I didn't like was the road noise they make, energy label is also pretty low. Not very economic tyres.

All in all, very good tyres if you have a low budget. Can recommend!

scariest tyre ever in the wet .I was travelling back with my family in bad weather at about 60 mph ususing all my concentration and couldnt understand how other cars were still flying past & staying on the road .Even in small puddles these tyres will aquaplane with ease , you might as well have bald tyres on .

225/45ZR17s : The BMW dealer fitted these before I bought the car second-hand. Tyres were ok for around town and straight line driving, but side walls too soft for cornering. Noise level was very good.
I replaced these after 3000 miles with Goodyear Eagle F1s and the transformation in handling was like night versus day. The Barum is not a high performance handling tyre.
