Quiet and well balanced tires. Work perfect on wet roads because of the big grooves. Low rolling resistance. Quite hard sidewalls that reflect on the comfort but I can live with that.

Bought my X5 with these tyres on the rears with 6mm of tread. Had never heard of them before and on my cars I always fit Continental Rainsport 3s wherever possible with their outstanding grip, wet or dry.
I've done 4,000 miles now and the tread is down to 3mm already so not at all long lasting. In the dry they are reasonable but pushing on at a roundabout and the rear never seems planted.
However, in the wet it is a different story. They are absolutely lethal with virtually no grip even on a moderately wet surface. Taking a mini roundabout at 15mph and the back end slid across the road no problem at all. White van man behind had to take avoiding action.
Fitting Avon ZX7s shortly.

saw some excellent reviews for 4x4 , had the car in the garage twice since i had these... thought there was something wrong as the ride so was so uncomfortable and noisy. just hoping the wear isnt good as I cant wait to get rid of them !!

When I decided to change the rear tyres on my X5, I spent a lot of time reviewing what was on offer across the various price ranges/manufacturers, my usual tyre supplier is a Maxxis supplier so after a chat with him I decided to try the Marauder II. Having gone through a winter I have to say for a summer tyre they have performed very well in wet, snowy and dry conditions, on motorways they are quiet and have a sure footed feel. I do not usually drive the X5 hard but on occasions when I have again the tyres have performed well. Once the front Goodyears have worn out I shall replace these with Marauders. I would recommend these for any SUV.
