BMW x5 Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Pirelli P Zero PZ4 given 20% (315-30-22-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 easy going miles
Worst tires I have ever purchased. The original Continental tires went almost 37,000 miles while these only managed 10,000.

These are fitted to a BMW X5 F15 40D M Sport on the fronts and have covered 22,000 miles so far and are on 5mm and have been wearing evenly. Now for a 2.5 tonne SUV that is bloody impressive. I am thinking these will last 30,000 miles and so far no complaints. Dry and Wet handling Excellent, Comfort good for Run Flat, and wear rate is amazing for Conti's as they usually wear quite fast. Brilliant tyre

Surprised at the quality of these cheap tires. Bought other cheap tires for other cars and generally you get what you pay for but these are good but they don't last long

Have 285 on rear of X5 255 on front. I am getting a shudder when accelerating. Was to bmw and thought maybe transfer case then egr valve. All testing fine. They are now saying tyres sending wrong info to transfer case and if I change tyres this will be sorted. Time will tell.

I put these on my x5 as a much cheaper option to the pirelli’s they replaced…half to price for 275/315 offsets. Would I put them on my m4? Probably not, but for any sport suv they are just fine. To expect these to perform the same as something twice the price is unrealistic. They doing the job I need them for and they look great. I’m not racing my x5 but they honestly don’t feel bad at higher speeds. I’d consider them again.

Fantastic tyre. I have had these on since new and have just gone past 15k kilometers. In terms of brands I have run a variety of Pirelli, Michelin and others on various SUV's in the past and these are the best all rounder I've had. Plenty of wear currently left on them and I will be buying another set when the time comes.

This is second set of Pirelli tires that I have owned. Pirelli tires (in my opinion) are awful. Last pair would not balance or hold balance after the dealer replaced all 4 tires and performed multiple balance, now I have my second set that came with my 2022 BMW and the tires are bad after 30K miles of mild driving mix of highway and city. 4 tires and they have all different wear levels. How is that even possible. Will never by Pirelli's again. The brand is awful. I would pay more for Michelin. I road race motorcycles as well and my friends that run Pirelli's only run the once, they they flip to Michelin. I do not know how Pirelli is still in business as they have an inferior product (IMHO).

I bought these tires for my X5 4.8is because the old tires were worn and there was a bulge. I didn’t splurge on premium tires because my intial intention was to flip the car and make money. Long story short, I ended keeping the car and stuck to the tires. About 25,000km, these tires were well worn to the legal limit. It performed well in the dry. Perform almost as well as a premium tires in dry but dangerous in the wet. The noise level was a little noisy but not too bad. The wet weather performance was apalling and disappointed in the tread life. I would not recommend this tires and would not buy again. There were quite expensive in the first place. I would instead try a different tires

feels good everywhere with high speed over 220 kmh the straightrun is not good enough, and i suspect it is because of the (soft) tyres

Replaced the front tyres on my 2014 BMW X5 50i M-sport. Can't being to express what a huge difference this made. Absolutely blown away by the Michelin. Obviously would be a big change coming from Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport runflats. I was always annoyed by the amount of noise made by these, but even only replacing the fronts has cut the noise significantly. The rears are are still the old bridgestones at size 315/35/20, and just to demonstrate how much more grip the smaller Michelins have in dry, any corner I can load up the fronts progressively or snap steer and the rear just oversteers way before there is even any hint of the front Michelins losing grip. Prior to the Michelins it was understeer only unless you applied boatloads of power. No experience (yet) with wet, live in the middle east. Lastly the comfort levels are hugely improved. Obviously the change from a runflat might make the largest difference, but for a sport tyre comfort is really good. Would most certainly buy again(and will), by far the best tyre I've ever bought. Handling is excellent, immediate response and accuracy.
