Driving on mostly motorways for 20 spirited miles
Driving 2008 ,SUV , Citroen C-Crosser 2.2 HDi (built with engine from MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER) from 120.000 till 160.000km, spirited driving millage,mostly highways, driving around 120-140km/h (sometimes till 160km/h but sometimes 100km/h), all 4 were ST5. Very stable, comfortable , you have a filling of good control, especially in curves in dry even better in wet , very quiet, wearing HORRIBLE - all good characteristics are only till 25.000km, after that it is a dangerous tire only good in cities and /or low speeds under 100km/h on motorways. WEARING was very evident especially on the edges ,but I guess the factor is the fast driving. Looking now amongst Nokian Line SUV (bad reviews on wear or becoming oval), Toyo Proxis CF2 SUV (bad reviews for not being stable over 120km/h), Goodyear EfficientGrip SUV (nice in general) , Falken Avenzis 510 SUV (bad reviews for wearing) and Continental SC 6 (last is my favorite but pricey :) )

Driving on mostly motorways for 15000 spirited miles
Driving 2008 ,SUV , Citroen C-Crosser 2.2 HDi (built with engine from MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER) from 90.000 till 120.000km, spirited driving millage,mostly highways, driving around 120-140km/h (sometimes till 160km/h but sometimes 100km/h), all 4 were Desert Hawk. Very unstable, not comfortable nor you have a filling of good control, especially in curves in dry even worst in wet , very noisy, wearing almost none but they felt like plastic tyres. Not satisfied at all, I wouldn't recommend buying. Bought Vederstain Sportrac 5, much better but wearing was very fast (especially on the edges) after 22-23.000km (less than 2 years) and they lost their characteristics,but I guess the factor is the fast driving. Looking now amongst Nokian Line SUV, Toyo Proxis CF2 SUV, Goodyear EfficientGrip SUV , Falken Avenzis 510 SUV and Continental SC 6 (last two are favorites)

Driving on a combination of roads for 17000 spirited miles
On 2nd hand car when bought. Part worn with 7mm all round. 17k miles later up for replacement with 3mm front, 4-5mm back. Therefore wear has been brilliant. Very good tyre in wet and dry. Ride a little harsh but plenty of feel. Would like to replace with same but it is the incorrect tyre for a 4x4 which makes its wear and handling characteristics all the more impressive!!!! probably explains the harsh ride too. Pirelli seem a bit difficult to find stocked so having to look at other brands.

Performs well on warm/hot dry roads but is let down by poor wet performance. Not particularly suited to UK road especially during the cold wet months.
